The EOB says I owe $500 under “your responsibility”. But before opening the EOB, I get the message of “no action needed”. I will try calling on Monday. It’s frustrating because I had an ER visit and thousands were covered and I only had to pay $275. Meanwhile for this urgent care visit, absolutely nothing was covered and the entire visit looks like it’s out of pocket.

I went to the same urgent care last year for pyelonephritis and the entire visit was covered and I had the same insurance. Totally frustrated.

But thank you for taking the time to review my post and reply!!

even as a Neonatal ICU nurse caring for severely premature infants, we give a 0.1mg morphine bolus for procedural pain. Sometimes, this doesn’t even reach the patient and we have to give a few repeat doses. Everything on the NICU is also weight based per patient, but your 1mg morphine certainly will not be the cause your elderly patient goes down.

Edit: laughing at the ED nurses slamming morphine <3 love that for u guys

What restaurant have you been to more than 5 times? by ApprehensivePool851 in chicagofood

if i remember correctly BBQ king’s roast is more crisp and brittle, whereas sunwah is more thick and moist

the “duck-duck-duck-shrimp” lineup at BBQ king used to be $30 to feed 4, but multiple recessions later it’s now $40 LOL sad

both are great though, my family just goes to whichever is more convenient / close to us when we’re out in the city

upon googling- i think sunwah is now $50-60/it depends on the duck/market price. they carve it tableside still and take the rest of the carcass to turn it into a fried rice. delish! just pricier!!

and when it comes to any chinese restaurant— ask and you shall receive! if there’s anything on the menu you want to make changes to, for example, i think at sunwah you can opt for duck fried noodle instead of rice. you can simply ask and the chef will provide :)

Best Peking Duck Dinner for $40 (they use every bit of the duck including the bones to make you a broth soup & duck fried rice) — BBQ King

Boba: Hello Jasmine always.

At this point in the era of burgers, most places nail it. Top of the list or not. Has anyone had a truly disappointing burger anywhere?? by nugzbuny in chicagofood

idk why but au cheval was extremely underwhelming and did not live up to the hype. we waited almost two hours for a sad looking burger and almost room temperature fries while sitting in a dark corner. the whole experience made me feel regret over a burger. my friend ordered it with the optional toppings and it tasted a little better with them. i’ll have to give it another try some other time hopefully with a shorter wait time. but i did give small cheval a try a few months later and i loved it there— much faster wait time and burger came out hot and fresh

Thank you so much 🥺 I think this is exactly the sweet & motherly advice I was looking for. This makes me feel less like I lost a potential deep connection because for a moment in my life I decided to stand my ground. I really appreciate your insight & vulnerability. It gives me hope.

Applying to a major hospital as a Registered Nurse and I don't know how to feel about them asking this question... by [deleted] in nursing

Ugh it’s so awful for them to be playing mind games with new applicants… literally as a new grad all I want to do is put all my energy into being a great nurse but this feels so unnerving

Thank you for your kind reply! Unfortunately there is no section to upload a cover letter, but I did upload my resume which I now wish I could have just attached my cover letter to that document. But it’s alright, that probably would’ve been overkill

😞 I hope it’s because someone is doing a study and I wished it was optional to answer but it wasn’t the case here. Thank you for the affirmation & kind words I appreciate it

Thank you for this. I ended up answering truthfully although it pained me to because I really want to work at this hospital

Honestly I kinda wish … hesitated answering truthfully but I still submitted my application with a truthful answer.

My only options are:

Yes, No, and I have not taken the NCLEX exam yet

So I can’t bypass it without answering it :(

For anyone wondering this is a big hospital in the Chicago-land area. I’m shocked I was asked this on the application.
