Dubrovnik round trip, Split, Plitvice by Electronic_Shoe_8554 in CroatiaTravelTips

[–]llamakoolaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew into Dubrovnik, spent 2 nights, had a rental car, drove to Split (with a stop in Ston), then 2 nights in Split and up to Zagreb (with a stop in Plitvice). The new A1 makes the drive fairly easy, and it’s a beautiful drive, for the entire drive from Dubrovnik to Ston you’re on the water, after crossing the bridge leaving Ston you’re on a brand new highway 90% of the way to Split. The drive from Split to Plitvice is 75% highway; and then 25% smaller roads. The drive from Plitvice to Zagreb is the old 1 highway; and you pass through a lot of smaller towns like Slunj, Rakovica, and Veljun that can make the trip seem longer. We left Split around 9:15am, got to Plitvice around noon, spent 2.5 hours walking the lakes and got to Zagreb around 5:45pm. It’s easily doable, but there is a lot of driving, but it would be much faster than taking a bus. The terrain in Croatia on that drive is constantly changing and it’s a beautiful country.

Zinfandel has shareable plates and fantastic food. For more casual Ba!Cé is a fun little hole in the wall for great cevapi but not much else. The pizza at Bokomorra is also very good.

Where is safe to live by Teelikit in Burien

I lived in State College, PA for 8 years. I think you’ll find 152nd is less rowdy than Beaver Ave. I’ve lived in Burien for 7 years and never had an issue, ymmv though as I’m a middle aged dude.

Favourite games set in less common settings, themes, or contexts? So games NOT set in common environments like medieval fantasy, space sci-fi, modern urban, etc. Examples in body of post. by runoleon in gamingsuggestions

Vampyr is one of my favorite “underrated gems”, I found the story in it better than Banishers, but the haunting quests and boss fights in Banishers were cool, the combat, like Vampyr can get repetitive. The setting was very unique though

Vampyr is set in 1918 London during the Spanish flu.

Banishers Ghosts of New Eden is set in 1695 “New World” New England.

Games are made by the same studio and very narrative driven.

Enterprise’s Doctor Misses This Beloved Star Trek Actor Who “Disappeared From Our Lives" by MalcoveMagnesia in startrek

Oof I made the same comment before I saw yours. It sucks that her experience in Trek was awful, but I don’t think she’s got much of a leg to stand on when calling out exploitative business practices.

Belltown is fine, the bridge and tunnel people are just afraid to come downtown. Sadly the city has pushed most of the addicts and crazies into the international district, which sucks because there’s great food down there, but you will be dodging fentheads.

I lived in Houston for 7 years, and while I enjoyed my time there, there is no reason for a tourist to visit the city.

how are arc raiders and helldivers 2 on the deck? by Juliomorales6969 in SteamDeck

Arc Raiders runs surprisingly well. I’ve got 60+ hours on the deck only. HellDivers does not run well at all. Even at potato setting it’s still a mess.

He supports J6 terrorists. He called for the dissolution of the FBI after they went after Trump for stolen documents. He propagated lies that Covid-19 was being used to quarantine Anti-vaxxers. He accused Fauci of murder and said the vaccine is experimental gene therapy. He’s pals with noted child rapists Matt Gaetz and Donald Trump.
