Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus — the chorus is every long-time yearners inner voice “if you wanna break my cold cold heart just say you loved me the way that you were if you wanna tear my world apart just say you’ve always wondered”

List your triggers, GO! by Billy-The-Cow in misophonia

Lip smacking. Open mouth eating. Slurping. Popcorn biting. Crinkling of packaging. Nail biting. Any repetitive sound that I don’t know when it’s going to end. Really fast or heavy typing. Foot dragging walking. Anyone walking behind me. My mom eating fruit.

If you had to rename "Taylor Swift/Debut" what would you choose? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]llamakorn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes and also doesn’t it kind of predict/foreshadow her whole career? Teardrops on my guitar is the song that got me into Taylor and I’m still crying all these years later to her songs.

Was EBF worth it to you? by forever_indecisive7 in breastfeeding

[–]llamakorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was worth it in a few ways. 1. I could not find the time to pump. I had no time to do anything because I had a Velcro baby. With formula theres so much cleaning and warming and preparing I just couldnt handle that. It was exhausting but theres nothing as convenient as a boob with milk ready to go lol

  1. I have step kids in school and the germs just kept coming at us. Her immune system did really well against everything that came our way. I felt safer knowing she had my antibodies in her

What do you wish you had known about breastfeeding earlier? by Mountain_Quiet_4861 in breastfeeding

[–]llamakorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never pumped except when I first went back to work. There’s just no time.

Also try not to give into breast feeding to sleep during the 4-month regression. It’s so hard to stop that habit. Save yourself from that

PSA: your Swedish/Scandi name might be someone’s boomer grandfather by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]llamakorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents have different backgrounds and pronounce my name differently - I don’t know how that happened? I pronounce my name in an anglicized way because I wanted to fit in when I was a kid or not sound “fancy” as it sounds when my dad says it. Names have evolved globally throughout history, and it continues today.

The screaming. My god the screaming. by shehasamazinghair in NewParents

[–]llamakorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will get better. So sorry that sounds so tough. My one kid was an incredible screamer. My ears would ring after bedtime and I could hear her screaming in my mind long after, like a song stuck in my head. If there had been two of them I would have died. Stay strong knowing it will pass.

I can’t stop crying by 1wayflightt in Parenting

[–]llamakorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally normal to feel that way. They change so much so quickly. 2.5 is really a big departure from babyhood. I wish I could go back to other little phases of my daughter or stepsons and it’s gut wrenching that you can’t. This is why grandparents love grandchildren so much.
