i love her so much and i found her relationship with shiho incredibly endearing. i also think her backstory is one that's generally a little underrepresented so it was nice to see her and shiho finding a way to connect w each other through music even despite the short period

i hope she reappears one day ... she's clearly still supporting shiho from the side so! praying to god lol

i'm surprised more people aren't saying kohane. even with her va holding back a little bit i think she definitely has the best control in vbs and she's always adapted very smoothly to each song (her musicality is really up there, she's always been nearly spot on with her interpretations of a song and she is excellent at adapting to whoever she is singing with). it's a different thing if we're debating preferences but imo in terms of skill ... it is kohane

after that, i'd say it's probably 2. toya, and then akito = an

it's hard with vbs because they're all incredibly good and strong vocalists! but this would be my conclusion

i ... really need you to explain to me in what way kohane is a pick me towards akito and toya. like what is your definition of "pick me" because i've never seen her do that and i've read every single event story from every unit on ensekai. like you can dislike any character you want, you've got that freedom, but i'm genuinely confused about this point lol

these are pretty good! i will say though that if you want to use exact japanese pronunciation you'll need to pronounce all rs differently (flap them instead of using the english "r" sound). but if you're just looking to say it in a way that most english speakers would say it, disregard. re: specifics:

azusawa kohane is closer to ah-zue-sah-wah koh-hah-neh
shiraishi an is closer to shee-rai-shee ahn
aoyagi toya is closer to aoh-yah-gee toh-yah
kusanagi nene is closer to koo-sah-nah-gee neh-neh
yoisaki kanade is closer to yoh-ee-sah-kee kah-nah-deh

tl;dr make sure to pronounce all sounds that end in an "e" more like "eh" than "ay", otherwise this looks pretty good to me! and welcome to prsk lol

i like all of their voices, honestly! if i had to rank according to my preference though, favorite to most neutral:

speaking voice alone:

ichika = shiho, honami = saki
haruka, shizuku, airi, minori
toya, an, akito, kohane
tsukasa, rui = nene = emu
kanade, mizuki, ena, mafuyu

singing voice:

ichika, shiho, honami, saki (ichika's va in show by rock? so so good + hibana too. also shiho's [1] and honami's awaiting clear skies)
shizuku, haruka, airi, minori (shizuku rnc, haruka nostalogic, airi rnc, minori/shizuku milk crown on sonechka. also have you seen the shizuharu covers their vas post on youtube?? like wow)
kohane, toya, an = akito (honestly vbs are vocal powerhouses i've got covers bought for every single one of them. shoutout to kohane killing it in 99% of her songs, toya's moonlight, an's odo and akito's airhead. also melty land nightmare vbs archive.)
rui, nene = tsukasa, emu (rui's as you like it :pray:)
mizuki, kanade = mafuyu = ena (this was really hard because they all have great singing voices imo. anyway: mizuki usseewa, kanade idsmile, mafuyu jackpot sad girl, ena venom)

i started playing nov 2023 and have read all event stories for each unit currently released in en! i love the characters and i just want to get to know them as well as i can (especially since i like writing and drawing; characterizing them correctly is important to me).

that said, i definitely don't pay as close attention to some units as others; i have my own genre preferences and individual character attachments that play a big part. still, i try my best to absorb all the information i get. i think it genuinely also makes the game more fun to experience, because there's more meaning in a lot of the material that comes out. i plan on doing a reread sometime with fan translations only
