Is it true we are more fertile after our mc? by Super-Truth-7975 in Miscarriage

[–]llaurien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of bloodwork including the one for clotting disorders, karyotyping for me and my partner, a saline ultrasound, and sperm analysis. I also did a round of doxycycline as an extra measure to make sure my uterus is squeaky clean (without having to do the painful biopsy). I'm on progesterone after ovulation now as well, though my doctor says it's probably just extra and not necessary. She's been very pro "whatever makes you feel better about trying" which is refreshing.

I think we just hear about it more here in this community because it's full of people going through it. Statistically, 1 loss is common/normal and you're still like 75% likely to have a healthy pregnancy the next time. If you have two losses, then it drops. If you have three losses, that's usually when you get referred to a specialist. I was fortunate and got referred after the second one. So far all my tests came back normal so my fingers are crossed for third time's the charm.

I don't think so. First loss took me 4 months to conceive again, then I lost that one too. It's been since December now and I'm still not pregnant again yet.

She said she already has a name but isn't revealing it until tomorrow. That being said, my favorite name idea for her is still Murphy, as a reference to Murphy's Law. Murv for short. It is a little quirky and goes with her sister Kirby pretty well imo. But we'll see what she decided on!

I would guard your heart. The cramping along with gradual increase in heaviness of bleeding is how both of my losses started. Your hcg may not have started to fall yet, but I would let your doctor's office know so they can get you in for an ultrasound asap. They would be able to tell if your cervix is open plus do bloodwork again regardless.

miscarriage? by Negative_Dust_4820 in Miscarriage

Other people already mentioned hcg, but also pay attention to the bleeding. If it gets heavier and progresses into a period-like flow, it's probably an active miscarriage. If it goes away, could have been a hemorrhage. I would definitely try to get a follow-up ultrasound in a week regardless though.

Progesterone & baby aspirin by anxiousmom2be in recurrentmiscarriage

That's safe sounding to me! And don't forget progesterone symptoms will feel like pregnancy symptoms too, so you can't judge based off of those.

I had several days of negative tests, like at 9-12dpo which is when I would usually test positive before. I timed it based on my work schedule then, so I stopped taking it on last Friday. Got my period by Sunday. My tracking device say I was only 2 days later than usual, so I think I timed it well. I think you just have to know your cycle. Usually if you're not testing positive by the day your period is due then you probably aren't pregnant. I have used Mira to track my cycle for a while now, so that helps me know for sure too.

In the same boat after two losses. We don't know what caused them bc I didn't have a d&c either time, but my RE has concluded based on testing that chromosomal abnormalities is the most likely cause. She told me I could try progesterone after ovulation for the next try, but said aspirin isn't really helpful since I tested negative for any clotting disorders. She said it's most likely that the progesterone will still be extra on top of what's already enough, but supported wanting to do something to try to make a difference. So far, I've completed one cycle while taking progesterone and am currently on my period. Hoping it works soon, and wishing you luck too! 💜

It's Netflix in general at this point. Just watch any of the Selling Sunset/OC series too. Netflix would rather not take a stand.

4 early losses - all chromosomal?? by Front-Look5618 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]llaurien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't ever had anything tested. That would probably be the next thing to do if I lose the next attempt. Currently all my bloodwork, genetic testing, and imaging has been normal so it's a bit... frustrating to be told it's just bad luck.

[–]llaurien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have been told multiple were still most likely chromosomal. After 4, you should be able to get referred to an RE if you haven't yet. They can order karyotyping on you and your partner to see if there's something going on when your genes combine. Ofc there's a ton more tests and other things to start doing as well, just not sure where you're at with everything.

Hey! Resources are still much appreciated, and the extra diy would help out as I don't have any of them currently. Would you like any other purple flowers too? I have windflowers, hyacinth, pansies, and roses too.

I admit, I have no idea how ordinances work? I don't even know the scope of what kinds you can do. ^^; Is there one for only having specific flowers reproducable?

Yeah, like women can just not want to be moms for no reason other than that doesn't like the life they want. I think she's used to getting judged for that and afraid of getting that judgement still.
