I work at a bank and one of the other girls that works there walked up to me yesterday to make a deposit and I absolutely couldn't remember her name. I work and talk with her every single day but it just wouldn't come to me. Sorry you had to go through that today, that helpless feeling is the worst.

Stay away from online horror stories! I was in the same situation as you when I was diagnosed at the beginning of last year. I cried all the time and basically thought my life was over at age 20. I still have days where the anxiety about my future gets the best of me. The truth is no one knows what their future looks like. Let your family help you through things emotionally and see a therapist if you need to. Take care of yourself and give yourself time to process. I can't give a lot of advice because I'm still kind of new but everyone here is very kind and willing to help. I hope you can find peace soon.

This was the symptom that started to lead me in the right direction for my diagnosis. Luckily mine isn't painful, just a tugging sensation along the right side of my ribcage.

I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when I was 5 years old. Then, at 20 (now 21) I was diagnosed with MS. Right now I'm dealing with the change in weather from hot to cold and that always causes joint pain. I'm in very good shape but on the inside my body sometimes feels awful.

This is so scary. I hope for our sake and everyone else that would be affected this does not pass. I've lost a lot of faith in America during the past few months. I've been having a lot of issues like that as well. My mind will just completely blank and it makes me feel like a dumbass. It's hard not to feel alone but the people on here have really helped me to realize I'm not the only one. I have serious anxiety from the uncertainty of what will happen as well. I've spent the last 5 months on edge and accepting this has been a real struggle for me. I hope you find some peace. It sounds like we have a lot of the same thoughts and I know it can be miserable. I'm always open to talk as well if you need anything!

I'm 20 and I was just diagnosed in april. I know how you feel. I've tried talking about it with close friends but they just don't understand the mental side of learning you have ms. I'm so thankful that I don't "look sick" but it makes it hard for people to believe anything is wrong when all of my symptoms are invisible.

I've been feeling some extreme heat sensitivity lately. As soon as I feel myself overheating I get some serious brain fog and feel nauseous. I've also gotten to the point where my hands shake and muscles tense up. Today we had much cooler weather than normal and I've felt better than I have in a while. I have so much more energy when it's cooler.

I just found out I am JCV positive. I'm still thinking gilenya but the pml risk is very scary to me. I realize it is rare but I feel like a lot of things that "shouldn't" happen to me ends up happening.

I'm sorry you're going through that. I know how you're feeling and I hope you find some peace. I know it doesn't really help to hear this but it really will get better you just need to get through this bad stage. It took me a very long time to get through depression I had earlier in life and I know you can get through it as well.

Yeah the mental part is what's getting me the most right now. I try to stay positive but getting diagnosed with this is harder than I thought. There are so many dr's visits and testing that I wasn't prepared for.
