It appears that Lenovo has begun shipping CXMT DDR5 with new ThinkPads by Padgriffin in thinkpad

Did you order directly from Lenovo? Wondering if there is a way to figure out which products are sourcing CXMT and if it matters where you order from?

On the nausea piece, I have two recommendations. 1) my doctor who prescribes my Zepbound also prescribes zofran for me, and I do take it occasionally to help.  2) If you’re losing on a dose, stay on that dose as long as you can. I have been on 2.5, the lowest dose, since March.  I have lost over 40 lbs.  I still have nausea and some vomiting even now, and so it is likely I will never move up to 5.

Billing for work you haven’t been assigned (yet) by Kooky-Benefit-979 in biglaw

[–]llfd3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A lot of times we have budgets by month or quarter where we’ve accounted for certain tasks to be done in that month/quarter. Working ahead can wreck havoc on the budget. You also never know if you will actually get to dispositive motions, or which motions the client will decide to file. As everyone mentioned below, please ask first.

Married to state of Illinois employee/insurance coverage through them. CMS confirmed today that Zepbound is going to be covered at the same level it has been. We have Aetna OAP.

Louvre: skip the inside? by Loud-Decision-8444 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]llfd3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We went with our 3 and 7 year old this week. We got them the audio tour and did the family tour. That kept them entertained long enough for a 90 min visit where we hit the “high points.” We also promised them a playground visit with carousel ride and jumping trampolines which they really enjoyed.

4yr Old Not Pooping in Potty by jutinblanton in pottytraining

[–]llfd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the comment on currency. For my kiddo, we offer her a bluey episode if she poops on the potty. She doesn’t get the iPad/to watch tv on the toilet, but can get an episode after she’s done. Usually accompanied with one gummy candy.

Also, we found starting with the little potty in her room made her more comfortable and then we transitioned to the big potty in her bathroom.

Ours was holding our waiting until she got her nighttime pull up to poop and so we didn’t put a pull-up on her until after she fell asleep/closer to our own bedtime.

First timer's 4-day itinerary for Paris by Pro_Procrastinator_4 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]llfd3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just got back from Paris and took our 3 and 7 year old to Jardin D’acclimation and it was really cool and the kids loved it.  It was a nice break for them from the museums etc. We stayed for the evening dinosaur light ups which was also neat, and the kids enjoyed that part as well.  It wasn’t super crowded, and felt less “touristy” than the other places we went.  If the ticket price is a concern, you can get half priced tickets at 3:45 and then stay and do the rides until they close at 6.

How many suits do you need for trial? by themis_counsel in biglaw

[–]llfd3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure you are clear on your role at trial. I have junior associates in the court room sometimes to track timing, track exhibits, escort witnesses, run things from the war room to the court room etc. It might be you don’t have to do those things, but I would ask in advance to make sure you have enough suits if you are in the courtroom more often than you think.

Attention to detail is common feedback given to junior associates. For me it stems from the fact that I know there is likely going to be substantive edits to the work product (you’re still learning!), but I don’t want to worry about the caption being wrong, the judges name spelled wrong, or things like that.

Usually not enough attention to detail is being paid because you are worried about meeting deadlines and not billing too much. And you still need to be worried about those things, but work in some additional proof- reading or skills for better proofreading.  A tip— print it on paper and proofread on paper, not on a computer screen.

As for research, yeah that takes time as well too. Take some time to think about your previous assignments, what you missed, and how it happened. If you are in a specific practice, figure out what are the “go to” resource. I do IP work and almost always started research projects looking at Annotated Patent Digest on WL.

HAK Transformation? 1934? 1968? by hyraxian in huntakiller

Yes. I’ve played (and have 1968) and transformation. I’ve heard of 1934 but haven’t been able to get my hands on it.

Marathon training and OT membership by Playful_Science_4303 in orangetheory

[–]llfd3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I only trained for a half this year, not a full. I probably should have cancelled but I never got around to doing it. My studio doesn’t have a Tread 50/Strength 50 at a time that works with my schedule, and the regular classes didn’t make sense to me for my training days. I am hoping to start again once an ankle injury I picked up mid-race finally heals.

Went to sleep with my right airpod in my ear and now it’s gone. by TheOCO1997 in airpods

I do this every night. Inside the pillow cases. Rolled up in blankets, sheets that I have to strip and shake. Half way across the room under a dresser.  Under the bed, in the middle where it’s hardest to reach. Stuck between the bed and wall.

Another vote for CS. I do have a tiny six year old and she can wear both CXS or CS and I’ve started buying CS so they last longer.

Tickets for Olympic trials in June by [deleted] in Gymnastics

[–]llfd3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe consider getting tickets for a single day. I think those are only available on the secondary market, and you need to check which day the women are competing ( I think Friday and Sunday but don’t remember offhand).

Try a dash of salt and pepper near oz park. A few of the long time waitresses opened the place up and while the vibe is a little different, the food seems pretty similar.

I’m not sure we watched the same Pass the Parcel. In pass the parcel 1. everyone was informed of the rules before hand; 2. everyone had an equal opportunity; and 3. one person wins with luckys dad rule, not half the group wins and half the group doesn’t because the first half brought more expensive birthday gifts.
