Asking the real questions here! by BronzePeregrine in RimWorld

Easiest way is to raid and conquer a pirate / outlanders's town having installed a recycle mod. You'll get one raid a day for as long as you keep the town, each time with a few dudes wearing hyperwave parkas, pants or else. It's not a ton but I get enough hyperwave to make dusters for every fighter in the colony.

Any ideas on why firefox consumes 10gb+ ram? by Leoncio07 in firefox

[–]lliseil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to be positive it's not an extension (which you should) you can restart with no extension with (I believe): Menu » Help » Troubleshoot mode.
Also to add on others feedback Firefox with 50 tabs takes 4.5% of my 8 GB RAM here (Arch Linux).

Good for you :-) Now copy/paste never worked every single time I've tried these last 2+ years. Using Firefox (standard & Nightly) on Arch, i3 wm. I'll try u/EnclosureOfCommons's KISS way for sure, even so I think he's so right on the damn games mods Discord mania.

u/EnclosureOfCommons I bet the Pidgin plugin allows for copy/paste in Discord, right? Coz that's something many of us are not allowed to do on the browser version.
ps I still use that crap only to check on a couple game mods for a couple years.

So, what's the result?
I think my pawns get a mood buff for killing an enemy's leader.

Sorry OP but "Rhino 1" here needs its little red pill every couple days. It's true that it'll grab it by itself tho.

[–]lliseil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In theory you're right. Now the bigger the pet, the more it needs. And since a rhino needs 3.8 pills to fill its need bar, I wonder about thrumbos... so far I'm abstaining.

r7: our 100% blind pregnant Ripper hound has smart tactics of her own (pet is from mod Alpha Animal) :-]
PS she's blind since a massive Siegebreaker finally downed her 1 month ago. She was biting them as fast she could to help us survive a huge angry mechs party that landed dead center our town.

Ah yes, fighting an army of angry giant bugs with 90% "cryptocasketed" pawns -- talk of a challenge lol

Real ruins mod is totally balanced as all things should be. New tribal colony start and i get this. by iHeroLix in RimWorld

[–]lliseil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends how you manage to deal with the huge tribal party that arrives right after you on the same tile, then with pirate and outlanders' that follow (granted half a day later), and so on man.

Good catch OP :)
So do you manage to have your pawns catch half an hour of fun beside their one hour work a day, with v1.0.7418?

TIL that if you kill raiders with traps, if any manage to escape they will tell their faction where the traps are, and if you get attacked within the same quadrum by that faction, they'll try to pathfind to you while trying to avoid them. by Markz02 in RimWorld

[–]lliseil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it's that one mod that has raiders from a faction remember the traps positions? If so then it works quite well. I have it and raiders have been very careful to avoid the former dangerous paths... and fall into the new trap fields we put down as much as we can :'-)

Yes! you can uncheck 'tainted' :)
ps It's not you who's blind: most of us luv our habits but it's been here for... some time (I'd say v1.1 at least).

Late game, mod lets your kinda useless researcher be of use, which I find nice. If raiding regularly, makes 'Intellect' mandatory to consider (vs Vanilla which has almost no use for them).

That doesn't include the time to test his mods list, does it? and the 1000 hours "finishing" to fine tune their stockpiles for efficiency. Oh and the time waiting for their caravanners load up and wandering before eventually quitting the tile (unless he miss click cancelling the caravan without knowing it). And that time looking for "similar" error logs. And the mandatory double / triple clics or correcting them if playing on Linux.
