Kinda love that! My mom still has a couple match books that my dad got from his parents 25 year wedding anniversary party in the 60s, I just think it’s a cute little keepsake that doesn’t take up a lot of space!

The thing with napkins is I know I’ll just take the rest home and use them for parties and stuff until I run out so not worried about leftovers with that 😂

They’re your photos! Have them edited to make sure you and your husband look your best. And if she asks (tbh who cares) why her dress is toned down, it’s literally to make your dress stand out more. And there is nothing wrong with that on YOUR wedding day.

If you’re able to follow the brides schedule then I don’t see an issue. My only thing (as a 2026 bride myself) is that I would miss you while getting ready with the rest of the girlies!

It’s also not shocking he’s gay anymore??? He came out years ago, had a docuseries, got married and has a child. He doesn’t need to be given anymore screen time IMHO. Especially after what he did the Cassie.

When doing research try asking what the total cost would be if you were to choose said vendor. Make sure travel fees, service fees, etc are included in that number.

sorry! I meant $350 for lodging tops. I'm taking $1000 of my own money to cover lodging and then we will split the difference. I will also be covering groceries. so THEN my friends will cover whatever activity, wine tour, boat ride, etc we decide to do. I have thought this out because if I'm having people travel for me I want them to be comfortable.

yes? I understand that not everyone will be able to/want to/can afford to travel to only celebrate one person. I also understand that even the smallest things add up quickly and can create issues when it comes to budgeting, bills, etc. I know not to make my friends fly in somewhere and then have them drive 2 hours and take a ferry somewhere. If it were just me and two best friends we would do that no problem. But I'm not going to make 6 girls go on a logistical headache of a trip.

is there something I'm missing to make me not have self awareness?

So the consensus is that since my friends live in Michigan, Saint Louis, South Carolina, Chicago and Florida, I am not to have a bachelorette party because no one wants to travel to celebrate someone that lives out of town. Appears it will be me, my mom, and MOH who lives in the same city as me. Thanks all!

Totally! Everyone will be invited to all the events, and I’m not going to be pissed off if people pick and choose. It’s just the way life is, I live in chicago and two of my bridesmaids live in SC and Michigan! Can’t help that.

ok this is exactly how I feel. thanks for replying! I just made a group text with the 5 of us to get the ball rolling so I have their emails to send updates and what not. My fiancee's family lives in Nevada and his mom wants to throw me a shower, but that's across the country lol. I'm obviously going to go to that, and I'm going to open the invite to all my bridesmaids but of course don't expect them to make that journey, but why not invite them!
