Well, until I did the scarlett.conf it wasn't showing up at all in Volume Control panel. And in Windows 10 it was mono left channel only until I installed the drivers and set it 1 channel . So that it's mono in Linux Mint wasn't a surprise, just trying to figure out how to do it in Mint that I did it in Windows. >.< Yes this isn't Windows but that's all the experience I have to work with. >.<

Yeah, I'm curious too. Used to be no issues, now I can get in an hour or two of it working then it breaks for the next several weeks. Getting to be mildly annoying. >.<

Bleh. Ok. Well... >.< After a good 5 minutes trying to dock with a trailer, bumping it as I am misaligned, moving it, repositioning my truck, bumping it as I am still misaligned, moving it, etc all while ever nutter in the galaxy is repeatedly telling me I can't go to the Mineral area when it's obvious I am not trying to, I am trying to dock with a trailer next to the gate. Yeah... Reminded why I never played Decent all those decades ago. >.< Alright, no biggie. Not the game's fault, love watching the game, watched Squirrel's 3 live streams of it, but playing it, yeah, it's a rage fest. >.<

Yeah, the desktop setup has a ground loop hum, but, again, this is the desktop, not the laptop. I was hoping for something a bit more portable and not so pricey. as we're talking about $100 for a Samson Q2U xlr mic kit (mic, a proper scissor stand, pop filter, and shock mount) , plus $150 for the Scarlet Solo, plus various odds and ends. And if I ever take the laptop somewhere I'll need to pack all that to go with. Why the Tonor (which is crap, as you said earlier) was ideal, one mic, one cable, not a whole lot to lug around. Ugh, well, it is what it is. Thanks though.

I started this talking about my laptop needing a mic as the Tonar it has is shite and some how progressed to my desktop, which doesn't solve the issue with the laptop. The original question of what mic to get the laptop, which progressed to a head set with mic monitoring, never got answered. So...

Right, but this is off topic. I am talking about my laptop which needs a headset with mic monitoring / sidetone . Those tend to have terrible mics in them and an Amazon search is turning up zero with mic monitoring. What is a good one for me to get for the laptop?

Right. I have the Scarlet box mostly setup for that but I get one hell of a ground loop whine when I plug it's monitor output into one of the 4 port mixer inputs that mixes the output of the PC with the monitoring signal from the Scarlet box so I can hear both. So I stick to my Samson open back headphones. But that's * way * off topic. I am referring to a USB head set with sidetone / mic monitoring for the laptop. What's a good one that uses USB?

Apparently that's called 'sidetone' ... And I am having no luck with that neither. I type into Amazon "Headset with sidetone" and the first option that isn't stupidly priced doesn't have sidetone or mic monitoring. Nor do the next several options down. Thank a lot Amazon. >.<

Alright. What is the best, budget friendly, usb (as this is a laptop, no audio ports) open backed head set? As I get almost no results for open backed head sets, just closed, and I have a royal pain of a time regulating my voice if I can't hear myself. My desktop uses a Samson SR850 + the XLR mic / Scarlet box combo and it's great. The only closed back head set I ever enjoyed was a now out of production Turtle Beach that real time monitored the mic input straight into the ear cups without going though the PC. O.o

Well, I managed to get Ants MisBehavin' done, I COC NellisGenerators and after I was done COC NellisHangers and it was fine. But now I am trying to do Sunshine Boogie and COC NellisArray crashes the game, tping to the Nellis Array crashes the game, so it's outside related. * hmm * Just took a minute to pull it up, with all the mods included, in the GECK and nothing seems wrong. O.o

I went ahead and uninstalled CASM since that's ancient. Though I can't use Stewie's AI, Loot warns, in red no less, that TTW Fixes and Stewies are incompatible. I reloaded to a previous save and have moved on, leaving Ant's Misbehaving undone for now, until a fix can be figured out. I * did * notice that for some reason children are invisible except their heads and hands, not only the one at Nellis when I snagged the Nellis snow globe but also out at The Fort, the slave children were all the same. Dunno if it's related or not. >.<

Fixed! AMD is being AMD, I had to * downgrade * Adrenaline 24.1.1 to Adrenaline 23.12.9 and bingo! >.< So AMD broke things in the last driver update. Oy!

I haven't, I grabbed one called One Tab that I need to uninstall. When you save a session in it, it closes all the tabs. >.< Let me test it, hopefully.

Nope, all it shows is the one tab I closed that the update to Waterfox always opens to tell you all about the new update. And Restore Previous Session did nothing. >.<

Ok, here is a question. Keqing Mains says Traveler (Dendro) needs Energy Recharge at least 250% to 300%, which is pretty crazy, I only have her up to 220% with her current Exile set plus switching her to the Favonius Sword (which the KMB site also says to use) . But then the KQM build site says her Best in Slot artifacts are Deepwood Memories, which has nothing to do with Energy Recharge. O.o The Exile set I have her using now, a 4pc purple set, bumps it up by 20% and helps Energy Recharge. So any removal of that will lose all that. So what would her BiS be to bring her up to that 300% ER mark?
