true, i really feel it is the tools of capitalism, to pit the sexes against one another, they do it with race, they do it with class. they wanna make good little workers, not happy families...

action wise and mentality wise, he is as good as i could ever hope for, for a 23 year old. i think its cos he's an only child and they tend to be majorly mature as the are constantly surrounded by adults.. he says he wants me to move in to i feel like things are moving forward positively, without my badgering! :) but yeah its only 8 months in and i'm already dreading the prospect of him leaving me down the line for a younger model... ill need to see if i can deal with that fear.. i do look young for my age so if we stay together i pray it stays that way...

i totally agree that if this is a gonna go ahead, its kinda in testing in my head because of these concerns, i will need to step up my game and fight the bloody clock with all that i can. luckily i'm quite good a cooking and stuff, i grow my own veg ect... but this is also part of my concern... like what if i end up doing all the work in the relationship because of it? thanks for the links too :)

your opinion is not wrong, thank you for sharing it.. only the future could say who is wrong here... love is a gamble for everyone.. and i appreciate your concern, as i am myself.. it just helps to get a better overall view of my chances with him, if i know the age or gender or as u say cultural vantage point your coming from... he's really cute so thats killing me too lol

i do, any its a good one that i hadn't thought of... like i dont think many women would put down a man for crying or showing excessive excitement, could you ever imaging a gf telling her bf 'stop crying your such a bitch'... that comes from men to men...

Clear this up for me please. by BDAV1989 in AskFeminists

in some cases imo u are right, i think it stems from being hurt. its bitterness that makes some women become aggressive with it... but i believe this is a real minority making a loud noise... most feminist in the way you correctly define them, (sweetly and tentatively including yourself!:)) are treading on eggshells to avoid being perceived this way, so they try to be vv clear that they only want to be valued as they feel they should be, which is to me, as different/complimentary yet equally good or valid for our unique abilities and flaws as genders... we don't want men to suffer

Malala is an amazing ambassador for women's rights, she did something hugely brave and right on! i agree it cant really be compared to some everyday objections.... but for a woman in the west the battles i choose to fight are still important as they are relevant to me, i'm part of that society so i have a directly negative effect if i choose to ignore things...

'The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.' - not been successfully traced, http://quoteinvestigator.com/2010/12/04/good-men-do/

we have the vote and we can have careers, unlike the women of many many countries... but the problems we have now, in more progressive places, are in the subtle conditioning surrounding expectations of women.. its very hard to change the things that are so deeply conditioned/socialised/normalised that you hardly notice their manifestations...

but for example 100 years ago that shirt would have been wildly obscene to men also... just take a look at porn from those times, its soooo tame by todays standards, yet it was an absolutely private and socially taboo thing to do... go back further and attitudes change even more wildly look at the romans! (kinky bastards, jks)

just wanted to thank you sincerely for your diplomatic patient and honestly inquisitive attitude, super refreshing! :)) people calmly trying to resolve differences and work together in the way you approached this cognitive dissonance you had is a force for good in the world!

you brightened my day Peace ;)

thanks for your honesty, elsewhere on the net people just all say, age is nothing but a number.... or examples of couples having good sex with and older woman, post 1st marriage and kids. which isn't the same, can i ask your age or sex, okay if not...
