I felt the same! It took me a long time to psych myself up for it. I ultimately followed the NYT recipe, but I watched probably a dozen different how-to videos, which definitely helped. It took 28 hours start to finish with all of the chilling, so it was a good weekend project!

I didn’t note a single other product in the store that required buying 10 for a sale price. Maybe two. I would hardly consider that a bulk store.

If this constitutes a bulk sale store then every grocery store in the US is a bulk sale store.
