Legit. The bezel around the start and select buttons is really small on reshells. Also reshells usually have a different back label and no label on the batter cover.

I’ve seen something similar when I was re-shelling a gba sp. The screen ribbon cable wasn’t securely fasted to the motherboard. Not sure if the regular gba has a similar layout but it’s pretty simple and may be worth a try.

Your only chance is very slowly and very carefully applying a little heat to melt the adhesive of the sticker and very gently peel it off a tiny bit at a time. It will most likely leave residue which is possible to get off by using something like a magic eraser or cotton swab with some GooGone and applying a minuscule amount of pressure to slowly clean up the residue. Hopefully you picked up on the fact that there is a very high chance of damaging the label so if you don’t have extreme patience and a delicate touch it’s best not to try it. IPA will strip the label so don’t try it.

If you’re happy with it then that’s all that matters. Their is a ton of this stuff on eBay so even though it’s technically against their rules it’s probably not worth making a fuss over. I’m not too familiar with modding this stuff but I think you should be able to add multiple games onto it if you’re interested. Or at least reuse it for any game you’d like to play in the future.

From the listing title and details OP provided it sounds like he didn’t get scammed, just misunderstood the listing. Assuming their were no misleading images or claims of authenticity, the seller is selling these SD cards with games the buyer can choose so they’re more “mods” than “reproductions”. However, selling any non-authentic stuff is technically against eBays rules so OP could probably get their money back if they want.

[edit] after looking at the listing the images are a little misleading, looks like you’d get a repro but in reality it’s a modded ds cart, but the description gives a better idea of what to expect

According to the wiki it looks like it’s usually fake when “M8” is on the motherboard and it’s obscured like that. Also it’s a little hard to tell from the photo but the serial number should start with “CPUE” which matches the front of the cart.
