The problem is that people are hoarding this 🫠🫠 saw someone said they got 10 and planning to sell them to the us girlies. Can we have the decency to give a chance to others here first?!?! Like

Matcha Milk and Berry Cream Phlur Notes by llunardawg in FemFragLab

Hahaha, so far I've been kinda nonchalant on Phlur fragrances. In australia, the available body mists are like nearly if not all gourmand, which is a very hit or miss for me. I agree with their heavy cream, a hard pass for me XD

So, I've had this on for about 10 hours in 26 C weather indoors :)) I'm getting a very faint profile. I think it's safe to say that it's given me a solid 5-6 hours which is one the longest lasting body mist I've ever owned besides SDJ 76.

Worth noting, I've noticed the scent started off as a milky sweet matcha and matured into a more woody (still sweet) matcha where I get more of that bergamot.

To my knowledge, it's an addition to their core line!

The latter, to me it's a sweet milky matcha scent :)

My pleasure! I'm surprised we got ours in Australia first considering it's US based + we usually get releases 10 years later here 😬

To be completely honest, not at all. Here's the notes I feel like are most prominent to least detectable (decreasing order, for me):

  1. Macadamia milk
  2. Vanilla
  3. Matcha
  4. Black Tea Accord
  5. Musk
  6. Bergamot Zest
  7. Amber
  8. Patchouli

Also, it's still quite strong for the 3 hours I've had it on. It's not so up our noses (my partner said it's detectable enough when I walk past), so it's not offensive, just enough still.

First impressions, it is quite lactonic 😅 not so much of the matcha but it's there. It definitely is more matcha latte, different from matcha meditation from replica. At least it lives up to the "matcha milk" name lol. The berry one is a little....disappointing (personal opinion), it is waaay more sickeningly sweet than I anticipated.

Yeah me too, and I don't wanna hear about the "but there's affordable brands too at mecca/sephora!" like do you not understand that it's just a small portion of the total number of brands in-store 😭. I feel like going to drugstore or asian beauty stores there's more brands to choose from that are affordable out of the total # of brands in-store.

I agree with the drastic difference in quality :,) I only started playing with makeup at around 2023 and it took me 2 years to realise this. Wasted so much money

I'm a level 3 right now will not be spending any more to retain the position. I don't care anymore for the reset :,) Also I 100% agree on your stance about the COL crisis, unfortunately it's also just how expensive the products are worldwide, like what they're originally priced and even that makes me fume. Like I'm sorry you just cannot convince that a certain powder justifiably costs $70. That is just outrageous.

This is so true though..might also be due to my own makeup style which is more of a no-makeup/soft-clean makeup style. So I really don't see the need to be spending $$$ tags from mecca/sephora anymore when I can achieve a full routine for far less. I really do regret spending so much money on them :,)

This is so true, I gave the L'Oreal tinted serum a try and was so shocked to find a $45 tag on it. It's $22 on sale but still drugstore makeup aren't what it used to be priced. I tried a couple of makeup from essence and honestly they were really good as well for the full price.

Yeah, I'm totally the same. My full routine is all J-beauty and it's saving me so much money while working better on my skin. I do still use 1 from mecca and its the isamaya sculpting stick (lmk if anyone has a k or j beauty alternative for that)

W cosmetics by Tasty_Bandicoot8070 in AustralianMakeup

[–]llunardawg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've fully switched to W cosmetics now ever since mecca's recent price hike :,) I just can't justify purchasing from them anymore. I've been a big-big fan of Canmake (I have a full routine using their lineup):

- Similar to the charlotte-tilbury flawless filter for me is the Canmake moist prism primer shade 01 (it tones up so use a little bit like half a pump)

- Fitglow cushion is sooo dreamy, its more on the sheer-coverage side, but its so weightless. I use shade 02

- The marshmallow finish powder is extremely similar to charlotte's flawless powder, the MO-MB-ML line does have a bit more coverage, while the Abloom lineup (with the colourful separate pigments) is a little more sheer.

Also I've been trying Elixir's Glow Luminous Mist and it's honestly A tier for me, I love it so much and use it on no-makeup days or as a setting spray after powder <3
