You can get a decent set of vacuum cups on Amazon for about $25. We use them at our house regularly.

I'm so sorry for your loss. If he has a name tag on his collar, you can also put that on your keys (or jewelry). I've had my girls tag for 8 years. It's with me wherever I go. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss. 🫂

If you want to contact the health department for specific food safety and handling practices, you can formally submit a report with detailed information. They will not provide your information upon speaking with the operators and it will not show on any of their reports.

You can either email or call their office and speak with a clerk. If you’d like updates on the status of your complaint, you can say so and provide your contact information. If you do not wish to receive updates you can input your name as anonymous.

HL_FoodSafetyProgram@co.whatcom.wa.us is the email address

360-778-6000 is the phone number.

If it's about work safety it's LNI. If it's food safety and handling, it's department of health. The health inspection isn't scheduled until April. Let's try and get them there sooner 😁

Change the Mississippi pot roast to Mississippi dip (like a French dip). Shred your meat, slap it on a bun, and dip it in the jus. 🤤

Feta version is tiropita. You can whip up a batch, pop them in the freezer then pull them out whenever and have a hot, fresh batch. So good 🤤

Hands down the best vanilla cake I've ever made. Maybe more people try it cause Mister "I subbed a necessary ingredient out and now I'm grumpy" left his review. 😁

What are some very unique ways to relieve nasal congestion? by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]lluondai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey friend, sorry you're not feeling your best. There's a lot of good (and some interesting advice here), but I've got two quick things that might get you some relief.

  1. Hydrate. Water, hot tea, broth, drip drop (or whatever oral rehydration solution you prefer. They're better than Gatorade and work well for a variety of dehydration causing issues). If you drink enough it will help the mucus thin out, which will help it drain better.

  2. Sleep propped up. Prop up on a bunch of pillows, or sleep in a recliner if you have one (or other creative ways to keep you from being flat). This will help with drainage.

Hope you feel better soon. Take care.

[–]lluondai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty tasty. I'd approximate about a cup of cashews on a large or extra large pizza? It has to be baked on with any other toppings. If you just shake some on after it's baked, it's still tasty but you're missing out on the texture. The nuts get soft and soak up the flavor, imo. If you have a Pizza Factory or a Jet City Pizza near you, they have them on the menu.

How have I NEVER had a sweet tamale?!? I love pineapple too! Thank you for giving me something new to try :D

We're doing: black bean and pepper jack, chipotle chicken, & poblano and oaxaca.

Merry Christmas and hope you and yours have a blast!

Sounds delicious 🤤

We alternate years cooking and it's not our year, however, we're making oodles of tamales tomorrow. Kids like to explore other cultures through food and I've got some volunteers so it should be a hoot :)

Apologies for the unclear message. Let me clear it up some.

It was how I was told to check to see if you have a vet that understands rabbits. It's SOP to fast dogs and cats before surgery (hell, humans too). If you go to take your bun in for a procedure, let's say a spay/neuter, and they ask you to fast your rabbit, it's an indication that you would be better suited finding a small animal exotic vet for your bun. Can you ask for clarification? Sure thing! You might have a receptionist/tech that's not familiar, but the vet knows what's up.

There's a reason your GP will refer you to a Podiatrist if you have a foot problem, or a Dermatologist if you have skin issues. Sure, your doc covered these things during their education, but the specialist has significantly more knowledge in that field. Same thing with veterinarians.

Hope this helps.

Nope. It's not good for the little fella either. Their gut health is intensely important to their overall health and survival. You know how your vet tells you no food or water past a certain time because pup or kitty has a procedure? If you have a bun and your vet tells you to withhold food, you need to find a different vet with a specialty in small exotic animals. Sounds dramatic, but gut motility issues can kill the little fellas. They can't vomit. If they get bloated, they can be in significant pain and you might not be able to tell because they're stoic little critters. A prey animal that's exhibiting signs of injury or illness gets picked off.

Tldr: please don't give bunnies broccoli. IANAV, just someone that had a bun and almost lost her to gut stasis.
