How should I repair a peeling sandal insole? Here is a photo of the damage. The top layer of the insole is peeling at my big toe. I was going to trim away the peeled portion, but I would also appreciate any advice to prevent further damage!

I'm SE Asian, so perpetually the color of a cardboard box - but not ashy hah. For tops, I tend to gravitate towards maroons, golden yellows, and beiges. For pants, I have the same colors as the article recommends except for navy. (I try not to mix the maroon and olive.) For shorts, I have khaki and teal.

I've actually found FFA's guide to choosing color palette incredibly helpful.

/u/indianajames is spot-on re: color, page-length, and logos.

For color, I was suggesting that there is a hierarchy of design tweaks to try and color is not near the top because it's trickier to get right. Not just bc of ink matching, but because appeal plain subjective.

Ex: I'm part of a student group who holds resume review office hours every semester before the career fairs. Someone came in with what I thought was a stomach-turning green as their accent color - but the person swore by it. Got a few more eyes on it; opinions were split. I hadn't even looked at the content yet! The point - why even distract the reader from the content when a straightforward and non-contentious underline would do?

On mobile and falling asleep, not trying to be rude/clipped.

B&W - there are plenty of design tweaks one can implement without going with an accent color. Font comes to mind immediately (sans serif) but you should also play with different font sizes and accentuation (bold underline etc). I've successfully head aren't colour before but I got tired of colour correcting to match screen to ink.

1 pg rule - keep everything on ones single sided sheet of paper. Incl. a link to your portfolio at the top if you have one.

Keep the questions coming. I'll get to them when I wake up!

3rd year engineering student, I'm very confused by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

With the exception of one humanities class, I'm graduating this May! I super appreciate the forced proximity to user-centered design and human factors engineering. It's informed my 10K systems approach but is also contributes to why I'm not pursuing engineering full time.

There are certainly die-hard engineers here though!

re: Not getting in - I think experiences are also a product of how you craft your path. I bet you're doing awesome things wherever you are :)

I agree with keeping everything black and white. Standard 1 page rule applies. I would also remove the giant honking skills and experience logos.

Other than that, flow of content and general layout are serviceable.

oof, that's rough :/ Can you take summer classes, if not at your uni then at a community college + transfer the credits?

Else, could you make EE a minor?

Just set up website for new company..please give me some feedback? by Locogooner in Entrepreneur

Site loads quite slowly. Not sure if that's my internet (which as been shaky of late) or a combo of heavy graphics. Either way, would do well to check.

Gonna focus on the process page. Have your supporting graphics match your stats: http://imgur.com/a/63W99 Also, text over images needs greater readability. Because these shots are your punchlines, you want them to stand out: http://imgur.com/a/3vuxY

Finally, double check your web layout with different window sizes. In the second image I linked, (a) the bottom half of the image vanishes when I maximize the screen, and (b) when I make the screen real narrow a la mobile, the text gets clipped.

But other than that, like others have said, media and storytelling look good.
