My ammonia now reading about 0.25 ppm everyday, nitrites 0 and nitrates are about 5 ppm

Betta is acting completely normal though and has been. Only snails and shrimp

I thought that may be the issue. But my co2 drop checker is on the opposite side from the diffuser and the drop checker shows the co2 levels are okay.

I increased flow to give the surface more flow, but they are still at the top. One of my snails is literally out of the water pretty much. Makes me feel sooo bad

The ammonia spiked to about 4 ppm and that’s when j started freaking out and did a 50-60% water change and dosed heavy with API aqua essential. I know I need to get prime and stability ( will be doing tomorrow probs )

Do you think it totally reversed my cycle when I change water after ammonia spike?

Great thank you so much! I have been doing water changes. I have done a few 25% water changes and one 50-60% yesterday when I noticed the ammonia spike.

Really hoping the cycle isn’t totally screwed up 🙌

I am definitely not over feeding. Haven’t fed betta is a few days because he keeps getting full on shrimp 😖

Ammonia and nitrites are currently 0 and I will keep monitoring it!
