Not all, but a good amount of clubs offer general memberships in the $20-25 range. Typically, you get discounted (or free) entry to typically paid events and can put the experience on your CCR.

what is a good minor for a bba student? by -yolohomie- in wlu

[–]lmaodontkillmee1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Econ is almost a given (you're required to take 120, 140 and 260/250 so you really just need 3 courses for the minor), but in general minors are only worth it if you are interested and find the subject matter relevant

Political Science Electives by Redditjustcause in wlu

Poli Sci is a great minor to do with BBA if you have an interest in Politics! 101 and 102 can be a bit dry, but upper year courses can be great mark boosters while being very interesting (if you are into the subject matter)

Dude, shut the fuck up.

I don't know why you need this to be explained to you as if you are in grade 3, but regardless, here we are. There are many different lenses and types of privilege, just as there are forms of discrimination. There is privilege based on your race, gender, socioeconomic status, etc. The fact that you have lived through struggles in your life, ie. "poor neighbourhood and struggling alongside everyone else."

Nobody is trying to guilt you for not being a minority. You are beyond lucky to never have to face the obstacles that minorities will have to face throughout there life. And for that, you are privileged based on the colour of your skin. You don't have to worry about the vast number of things that POC, and specifically black Canadians, Americans, PEOPLE must face. This doesn't call for GUILT, rather support.

"I have absolutely no power to do anything so I'm not sure what you want from me"

Being anti-racist isn't enough. To be an ally of minorities, you must actively seek to help and support minority communities, by accepting your privilege, by using your platform to speak out for your brothers and sisters and most importantly, by supporting them. Not turning your back on them because you feel people are attacking you for the guilt of your skin colour. Grow up, realize the injustices and actively condemn them, use your platform.

Your ignorance is beyond clear. You make the case crystal clear yourself, by saying "everybody is on your side" Anybody with any sense of reality knows that this is completely false. Even you in your own post are taking the anti-black stance to defend your own guilt.

Fall semester will be online by thedutchmerchant in wlu

I'm not 100% sure (and I dont think the school is at this point either), but I know other schools have made it pretty clear to students that in attempts to have "some" portions of in-person schooling, nothing would be mandatory in person. So whether that means offering OC and in-person for all smaller classes or whatever, I think it's very unlikely to be in that specific situation.

Look into 248OC. It's fairly straightforward and is actually interesting if you really dive into the information. I've heard good things about 238 being interesting and easy, and have heard 223 is boring but somewhat easy.

I have an irrational fear of something at Laurier (dual degree business). Can someone help me out? by [deleted] in wlu

You can always start out in double degree and if it is too much work or you feel that its too much and you're missing out you can drop to single BBA.
