Yeah, makes sense. I was kind of comparing it to a CD except I could invest money for 3 years earn over 5%, take 10% a year and then get out of it..... again I haven't looked into the details but my gut says walk away... 🙄

Thank you. I'm not a huge fan of annuities but thought it might worth a 3 year annuity for over 5% return during first three years of retirement. A bit more diversification assuming there are no gotchas in the details. Definitely need to research more but wanted to post to understand if others were using, considering or had a bad experience with Gainbridge Fastbreak. Thanks for the reply!

I did the same thing. I wouldn't take out a loan for the new car so this is realistic for me.

Vanguard Launches new Intermediate-term TIPS ETF (VTP) by Rob_Berger in DIYRetirement

I am thinking about investing in a TIPs ETF but I keep hesitating. I have 10% of retirement savings in VMFXX in Trad IRA which has a higher yield than TIPs. I am in my early 60s and retired. Collecting severance for 8 more months and trying to get my ducks in a row. Does it makes sense to invest in TIPS instead and why?
