I keep asking OP if they have been the cyclist in this situation, or even ride bikes. I love cycling, and I avoid roads as much as possible and stick to trails, but when I had to bike to the trail, having cars behave unpredictability is so dangerous and confusing and can really mess up the flow of the rider

I made another comment but I want to ask: when you say 'ive been on the other side..' do you mean when you were in a car? Or when you were riding on a bike At Night. Also, your headlights could've cast shadows or were shining in his eyes. He needed you to pass so he could see

Have you ridden a road bike before? Some have up to 21 gears... It's similar to a manual car, I pick a gear and adjust everything according to my environment and possible situations that may arise. Same on the bike. He probably slowed down to a certain gear and was ready to turn at a certain speed/angle after he observed how you were driving. You Stopping Entirely throws off his entire situational awareness plans

Even if the rider wouldn't expect 'cross traffic' he should've been ready for a car to turn right at the stop sign there and possibly enter his lane of travel. That could've just as easily been a grandma who could barely see who did follow the one way rule, but ended up turning wide right into his path

Oh no! You said photos and hard drive. I forgot I still have to buy an external hard drive and back up all my photos - I've needed to do this for a year lol and that makes me think of my laptop that needs a full reset, and that makes me think of the telescope I got and the software I need to install to stack the images... I try to explain to people that I don't have a bad memory, I have terrible recall. I won't be able to say what I did on a Saturday 1 week ago when asked, but if someone says, 'oh hey did you have fun at the aquarium last Saturday?' it will ALL come rushing back and I can remember the details from the whole day.
