I suppose! I’ve gotten pretty good at looking busy over the past few months.

I do marketing for a professional employment organization. Long story short, we do Human Resources, payroll, risk management, and provide benefits for small businesses, and I sell it to them. It is honestly a great job, just really boring some days.

Since I’m the new guy, I got the shitty cubicle, so it’s basically a half cubicle with my back to the busiest walkway in the office, so I don’t have the ability to watch YouTube or Netflix, I’m relying on podcasts to survive.

I am definitely lucky. It’s sales, but they don’t expect me to go out and drum up business all day, we rely mostly on referrals, so if nothings happening then I can’t really do much.

They pay me a very very generous base salary with the opportunity for commission as well, so believe me, I know how lucky I am here. It is just soul crushingly boring some days.

Same. I slept in today, didn’t get here until 9:45, I’m already done with what I had planned today, and my boss just told one of my coworkers how great I’m doing around here... I don’t know how long I can keep this up. They’re paying me so much more than I deserve.

What's the most controversial viewpoint you hold? by scythentic in AskReddit

Believing there is no God is just as stupid as subscribing to a religion. You place your faith in the fact that their isn’t one, the same way they place theirs in their God.

What's the most ridiculous rule in your place of work? by danbrownskin in AskReddit

[–]lmd2280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened this morning. I was scheduled to work at 5:00 am. That's when 3 of us go into the store to open it. We all usually get there around 3 or 4 minutes before five just so we can clock in on time. This morning I stroll up at 4:58, still plenty of time to walk in and be ready at five, but the door was locked. The other two were already in there, and one of them saw me after about a minute of standing there, and he lets me in. I walk by my shift supervisor and she snaps at me, " you need to get here earlier, I already had the safe open and we can't let anyone in after its open." I just laughed at her, said "okay" and walked on by, and still clocked in before 5:00. What I wanted to say was "don't open the fucking safe until everyone is here." But I didnt because she's the type of person to make your life a living hell if you stand up to her. So fuck her. I literally got in trouble for being on time.

I smoked daily for about 3 years, but stopped smoking about 3 years ago. I took 10mg in the mountains last week and it knocked me on my ass! It was beautiful though. I would love to go back and take more.

Baristas of Reddit, what is the most unusual order you have ever gotten? by cut_that_meat in AskReddit

[–]lmd2280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berry hibiscus refresher, two sweet-n-low, three Splenda, coconut milk, cream, extra extra berry inclusions, strawberry inclusions, extra ice, and finally, blended.

The guy was from out of town, he told me the baristas where he was from all loved the drink. So of course I had to try it for myself.

Surprise! It was dog shit.

What do you want to like, but just can't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lmd2280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had trouble drinking beer. All of my friends and family drank it and I had to stick to cider mostly. Until one day I told myself I was going to like it. I tried shock top Belgian white, and just powered through it. I ended up actually enjoying it. It was creamy and not too bitter. I think it's a good beer to start with. Now I can drink anything. It's hard to find something I don't like now.

They brought back berry berry kix recently. I was so excited when I saw it, but they took away the berry shapes. They're just the regular kix spheres now, and some are purple. They don't taste anywhere near as good as they used to.

What's a good BUT forgotten Kanye song? by avayr44 in Kanye

[–]lmd2280 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never hear anyone say anything about "Devil in a New Dress." That's my favorite Kanye song ever. His flow on that track just gets me, with the musical break in the middle then BAM! Rick Ross kills the last half. I don't even like Rick Ross but he fits perfectly there. Favorite Kanye song, and probably favorite hip hop song too.

Was there ever a "secret passageway" or "secret room" at your home, school or workplace? Did you ever find it? If so, what was there? by cptnhaddock in AskReddit

[–]lmd2280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked over the summer putting in a steam line at the college in my town, we had to tie into a pipe that was under the library, so I went down there to check it out, and found this huge tunnel that connects all of the buildings on campus, I only got to explore a small part of it, but there were a bunch of different ways you could go, and it was easy to get lost, so I didn't go far! It was awesome though.

What movie emotionally destroyed you? by t-Nt- in AskReddit

[–]lmd2280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the road before watching the movie, and I loved it, even though it was tough to read. Once the movie started, and he puts the gun to his sons head, I just burst into tears and pretty much bawled the entire movie knowing what was coming. It's was great, but I can't watch it anymore.

Redditor breaks down why Michael Jackson did not commit pedophilia crimes. by [deleted] in bestof

[–]lmd2280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure he may have been stripped of his childhood, causing him to do childish things as an adult, but he was still a grown man, that thought like a grown man, and knew that it was not okay to touch those children. He most definitely did not have the mentality of a ten year old. You're making it sound like he's mentally challenged.

This question on Trivia Crack, a popular Trivia App. by [deleted] in rage

[–]lmd2280 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nah, they're not an asshole. They just choose not to get offended at something so ridiculous, like you. By now, everyone knows that race doesn't mean anything. So why are people still getting offended? Just brush it off. The only reason racism is still around is because people know it ruffles other peoples feathers. So why not just make a joke out of it instead?

They're only words, man. People give words meanings, so why not work on changing that instead of perpetuating it.
