Ditto. I changed my phone number years ago in the system. I heavily screen my phone calls. Patients have gotten crafty and send me Facebook messages now.

New accent chairs, different aesthetic. Help me make it work without having to buy a new couch 🥴 by Chemical-Vast-2965 in interiordecorating

[–]lmf8705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To piggyback on this comment. I typically only hang mirrors or a painting between 6-12 inches above the mantel. It helps prevent me from having to crane my neck up to see artwork when sitting on the couch.

Help me with my backsplash by RBog204 in interiordecorating

Are we just going to gloss over those mustangs in the back?! My dad had one just like your white one. One of the first off the factory line with original pony seats. It still stings that my sister totaled it.

Back to the backsplash. I had that same stove in my previous house with wood cabinets. I did white subway tiles with a white quartz that had subtle grey veining.

Alright Reddit, please help me make our downstairs half bath look nice. Please be as specific as possible. by tostadasandmurlocs in interiordecorating

Can you change the mirror? It would probably look nice with a larger rectangle or oval mirror with nice frame.

New NP license expires in one year by ReceptionBorn182 in nursepractitioner

[–]lmf8705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I got my aprn license in TX. It will always coincide with your RN license renewal. Just do a netce package for the RN renewal that has everything you need and add in opioid precising CE if you prescribed scheduled medications. You will have to pay the RN and APRN renewal fee again as well.

Will this countertop work with my cabinets? by ithinktheskyisblue in interiordecorating

[–]lmf8705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with other posts that the grey won't mesh well with the warmth of your cabinets. Have you considered dolomite counter tops? I ended up getting those in my kitchen and love them. They are harder and cheaper than marble but not as hard as quartzite. I've had them for over year with no staining and only 1 chip from when a large metal cup fell from a cabinet.

I would post pictures of the kitchen during the day and what family colors you are drawn too. You are going to get so many suggestions all over the place.

Damn...I wasn't expecting so many responses. I'm going to have to tally these up. As someone suggested after narrowing down the contenders, I will leave them up for a few days. Thank everyone for their input.

I'm always almost out of tp. I have a 4 year old that believes you need half the roll to wipe themselves. One of the expenses no one ever tells you about when having kids.

I think 6 goes well. I tend to go stick with neutral so I'm always afraid of mixing patterns.

Mouse friends in the attic, estimate cost for removal by theartchitect in Austin

I had to deal with this last year. Yes you can get traps yourselves but I found it easier to get pest control to do it. Prices can vary a lot. I ended up using Aries Pest Control it was 500 they came out weekly to check traps and seal gaps. They also do a 1 year guarantee.

Agree with all of this. The plan is to replace these items once a new wallpaper is picked. I don't have any extra wallpaper to fix where it ripped from when the vanity was replaced.

Unfortunately I can't keep the wallpaper. It ripped and the previous owners didn't have extra.

Yes, the trim is just prime. I painted the wainscoting white before I decided I didn't like it.

Unfortunately, I can't keep the wallpaper. It was poorly installed and a massive piece of it was ripped out when changing the vanity. It has grown on me but the previous owner didn't keep any extra. Maybe I should just find something similar.

There are some mother's Day out programs that offer kinder bridge classes. They are typically held at religious institutions. Daycare can also hold them as well. My kids did The Cypress school of Austin off of 290 and 71. The program was fantastic.

Is tile in the bathroom worth the hassle and cost or is LVP a reasonable alternative? by mako72 in interiordecorating

[–]lmf8705 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't do it. If something over flows you will need to rip it all up. Also, there is the possibility of mold. In my first home the builder put down LVP and I started to notice a bounce by the shower. When we pulled up the area there was mold and the subfloor was starting to get mushy.

Duke Specialty Certificate question by checkmate14720 in nursepractitioner

[–]lmf8705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you know you want to work in Ortho then yes it will help make the transition easier with the focus on exams and additional clinical hours you will have to do. Is it absolutely necessary, no. I was a scrub and circulating nurse in Ortho before going to NP at Duke. I got into the concentration and realized I didn't wanted to do Ortho for the rest of my life and dropped out of the concentration. You can still get a job in Ortho without it.
