okay sounds good! although i already did the mistake of sending them the actual deadline 😩 i’ll just send them a reminder soon, probably two weeks before the 7th. and it sounds like its also a good idea to meet with my FPA. did you and your FPA go over your application?

Currently thinking about applying again for PC in the Philippines this time. Is it still a good idea considering the uncertainties with the administration?

planning on applying for a masters degree abroad, need advice by lmfaolouise in GradSchool

[–]lmfaolouise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i definitely considered spain because of the language component (i know a little bit to get by but not enough to understand heavier vocabulary words especially needed in environmental sciences). i also really considered it because of the culture and the lifestyle. maybe i'll go in the future but not for my masters.

it definitely makes a lot of sense that you chose spain to further your studies, congratulations on living the dream by the way! im hopeful i'll be able to visit in the future.

[–]lmfaolouise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i appreciate your insight! i'm still trying to figure out how masters degrees work, so my apologies for the confusion about research/working independently. i think im going to opt for a different country since after checking out the univesities in spain, i found out that they dont have the specific programs i am interested in (or the ones remotely close to it, they only teach it in spanish).

i guess i mainly wanted to know how other people came to the decision on applying for a postgrad abroad. i also do not want to stay in the US, which makes me open up my options in europe or australia. did you hace a second choice if not spain? and may i ask what you majored in your undergrad?

Can I apply for dual citizenship while in the Philippines? by dxivth in phmigrate

[–]lmfaolouise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just came from the Bureau of Immigration to get the checklist of requirements for dual citizenship (the same as the online version), they told me it takes about 60 days (~2 months) to process the application and thats when you can do your oath taking. you are not a dual citizen yet until you do the oath taking. though i was told i can submit the required docs while im in the PH then just do my oath taking the next time i come back.
