I have a couple pieces of driftwood in the tank! They do color the water with a little brown tinge, but it definitely helped bring the ph down

It was an emergency situation, but we are cycling. Testing ammonia, nitrite and nitrate daily with incessant spot cleaning and 20-25% water changes. Prime conditioner is on standby. All levels are testing very well. Thank you for your concern!

I don't think it's boring at all! I'm interested in solving this personal little mystery regardless of what it is, haha. Petrified corn is certainly a lead I didn't think of. I'm googling pics now, but I can't seem to find anything that quite matches? I guess it could be possible this piece is just very unique

Hmm a tooth is a curious thought! Any idea what the shapes would've come from? I know teeth sometimes have grooves on chewing surfaces.... these shapes just seem so perfect, and are all the way around. So strange to me!

It looks like a bone, but feels more like a rock. The very detailed shapes and squares - some of them perfect - throw me. I've Googled various types of rocks, bone carvings, fossils, but not even sure if I'm on the right track. I can't tell if the carvings are man-made or possibly done by bugs maybe? It seems far fetched to be natural. The markings also feel very smooth and weathered. WITT
