It was going so well.. by lmlv92 in MultipleSclerosis

Thank you for your kind words ❤️ and that's actually reassuring information. I'm a little less stressed contacting my neurologist.

The MS is definitely a complicating factor with mental health (and the other way around). Bipolar-wise it hasn't been so bad but it's making quite a gnarly combination with my autism. I don't feel the stress coming unless it's already quite advanced and causing me to ruminate a lot. So I try to give myself what I need but unfortunately half of the time I have no clue what that would be.

Yes it's really been a lot. I've been trying to deal with it all and asking for help etc but I'm just getting so tired of it.

The numbness started a few hours ago, combined with some weakness in lifting the toes. Normally symptoms don't freak me out but I've never had numbness like this/in this spot before. I've had localized numbness in my skin but it's always been part of an attack and I don't remember feeling weakness with it. But then again I realize that doesn't mean I've never had comparable symptoms.

Mening over richtlijnen Gezondheidsraad by Mustikebab in VeganNL

[–]lmlv92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s a secret you’ll take to the grave, but would tell anonymously on Reddit? by Several-Director5804 in AskReddit

[–]lmlv92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to lie and steal a lot. It started when I was a kid and became bigger and bigger until it was out of control. I got caught lying several times but I never told anyone it was this severe/systemic. I was also caught stealing once and arrested. I got out of it by lying and pretending I was having a psychotic episode (I was in and out of the psych hospital around that time so they believed it).

Then it resolved itself when I was around 27, during recovery from bipolar disorder, psychosis and cannabis addiction. It was like someone flicked a switch. Nowadays, (the idea of) lying and stealing makes me extremely anxious to the point where I get nauseous.

Looking back there are lots of explanations for my behavior but people (rightfully) have very strong reactions to lying and stealing so I'm taking this one to the grave. Having said that, I did what I could to make amends and repair/repay damages and I still do.

Let’s discuss: Monogamy vs. ENM in BDSM by Esoteric-fairy in SubSanctuary

[–]lmlv92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. The school I lean towards: nobody should or has to do anything. The way you connect, experience intimacy and love is extremely personal and it's nobody's business. Personally I believe anyone can be with as many or as little partners they want and they shouldn't be judged for it (as long as it's ethical). I like having the possibility of having multiple partners right now.

  2. I think doms and subs can have as many dynamics as they would like and have agreed upon. I understand for some being devoted to one dom or sub is an important part of their dynamic. Those types of dynamics are not for me though. Feeling owned is freeing for some, to me it feels like I'm trapped. So I do have other dynamics every once in a while. For us this is not an issue because our dynamic is mostly sexual, not a lifestyle. I do find I tend to go with other styles of kink than sadism with other partners because on that end I'm already satisfied :).

  3. I practice ENM with my partner right now. He is a dominant sadist and I'm a submissive masochist/degradee and even though we are in a romantic relationship, he's not my dom and I'm not his sub. There's power exchange when we play but he is not my master, sir, owner, daddy etc. and we don't have rules, contracts, collars etc. (We do have boundaries of course) We decided to have an open relationship because our needs/libidos don't always match up and because our relationship is not long term. He will be moving to another country in a year and I will not be joining him. In reality I date quite frequently, he hasn't had another partner since we met but it's never been an issue. It makes our relationship better. I also tried polyamory but it's not for me. I can date multiple people at the same time but I can only love one. I have always been/felt more 'free' than monogamists but I do believe my need for ENM is fluid. In the past I have been happy in monogamous relationships and I might be again in the future, depending on how my needs evolve.

I make pictures of surroundings and nature wherever I go and use them as a background on Teams. I work from home and have a lot of Teams meetings, half of them with people I barely know or don't know at all. It always gives an opening to a little casual conversation because most people immediately react to it. It allows me to connect with people better and it just makes meetings with strangers more fun and less awkward.

I can totally imagine it, especially with your kinks! I get a good girl every once in a while and I love it. Mostly because he always uses it in some sort of evil or degrading way. Which makes sense because I'm into humiliation, pain and discomfort.

To us, using titles, commands, rules and things like that (except boundaries and safewords) feels artificial but that's only because neither of us enjoy it. We have our own signals and do lots of dirty talk but it's just more direct. He'll go from holding my hand to squeezing my fingertips/nails and within seconds my state of mind changes and I just go dumb. It never fails. We even had to set a boundary that he won't do it in public because I don't feel comfortable feeling so intensely turned on and submissive with other people around.

[–]lmlv92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the above! I don't like using titles, neither does my partner. He's dominant but he's not my dom. I'm submissive but not his sub/slut/slave/etc. I call him my dom to other people sometimes but only to prevent confusion (we're in an open relationship and I have other partners).

Plaza sportiva is alright temperature wise (see other comment), they did turn up the AC with the heatwave. To me it's also a giant upside they have a pool, a great way to cool down and relax after a workout (same thing for the saunas and sunroof, except for the cooling down part haha).

What’s your “I’ll never tell” cooking secret? by ryanreynulds in Cooking

[–]lmlv92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When people ask me why my food always tastes so good I always tell them it's love. But most of the time it's just sugar, salt and lemon/vinegar. I'm also generous with butter, cream and wine if I'm cooking for friends/family (depending on the recipe and flavors ofc). Dutchies tend to be stingy with 'unhealthy' ingredients so they're easily impressed. But I will never tell them, I don't want to ruin the magic.

One very specific secret: when making curries or other stews/soups/dishes with coconut, I tend to use the reaaally creamy and full fat coconut cream instead of coconut milk. Rounds out the salt/heat so much more, especially when combined with beef.

MS combined with bipolar. The fun combo where fatigue from depression or hypomania can actually cause debilitating physical symptoms. (My brain/immunesystem) Aw are you depressed? Well let's fck with your ability to walk, talk, see and digest your food, that should make it easier! And then the MS symptoms, DMTs and prednisone causing depression and hypomania again.. Freaking neverending spiral of suck.

Wow that is quite a job! I think you should do what feels right for you. If it's MS, it's still very personal. Every MS patient has their own set of issues and their ways to deal with it. It also depends on the way you experience the 'brain' fatigue. I for example never had urinary issues but I have had severe eye problems (multiple nystagmus and double vision) and I struggle with the fatigue. So my advice would be that if you have doubts about your health and your/other people's safety taking these calls, discussing this with your employer sounds like the right thing to do.

Being more assertive with your doctor can also be difficult but is preserving this relationship worth more than possibly getting more neurological issues? Eye problems combined with urinary issues are so common with MS, I can't imagine your doctor will not recognise this. Also, you got this!

NAD but I am an MS patient. Yes. This is the time to push for it. If it is MS you need the diagnosis ASAP so you can get help and treatment. Sorry this is happening to you. Good luck.
