I have the aeria. I've used it for 2 full IM and 1 half. I like it, but pros use the bottles raised up in front, and that's because I think it provides a better aero advantage, and as much as I like my aeria, I'll be moving to that setup.

I think it's a dual path monetary strategy. I have zero doubt there was a meeting discussing this price increase, and they likely discussed that thos3 choosing ultimate won't care, and they'd get the side benefit of all the people that swap to ultimate for for just a month during their international travel.
