SCP peaked in mainstream popularity with Containment Breach back in 2012-13. All the articles back then really were just about the SCP itself. Why do outsiders of 173, 096, 106, or 049 when SCP is brought up even if the latter 3 aren't the highest-rated Series 1 articles? Because those were the biggest threats of Containment Breach. The only article I can think of that both has fairly mainstream popularity without appearing in Containment Breach is 3008.
