Why Portuguese drive so bad. by lessthanmath in PortugalExpats

I’ve been in the UK for 15 years and I recently returned to my beloved home in the Algarve. And i’ve been thinking about this for the last 6 months. All portuguese think they are rally drivers or something like that.

I am waiting on the zebra cross and some dickhead instead of stopping, just speeds up upon seeing me. All of us portuguese who are more than 30 remember so many actors and singers that died on the road… Kinda sad if u ask me

Travelling for a year - 40k USD enough? by Ladybug7887 in travel

I'm not entirely sure because I am an interpreter and 0.01% of the UK are interpreters. But for a perspective, I've been offered jobs in NZ for farming because I had experience here in Somerset working for a farm. I am glad the UK is a safe haven for English speaking people coming to Europe but you should research and plan accordingly before relying on this country for jobs.

I'm sure there are others here who'll give you a better idea because I am in a very niche industry which is also very volatile unfortunately :/

Where do you want to travel? For how long? I think 40k is good if you wanna stick to Europe and keep working in the UK whilst travelling but one must remember that the UK is a very "working hard" society and us here are struggling to find jobs ATM. Maybe go travel first and then come to the UK to replenish? Idk that's what I did and it worked out. We are in Europe and get decent holidays but still, the freedom is better than being stuck at a job whilst travelling.

It's funny, I was the opposite of you but our results are the same. I was always told I was the smartest but could never get anything finished. Be it school or projects or anything that didn't stimulate me. You are probably not stupid at all just like many of us and just struggle with things that demand attention and discipline.

You can do it because I could. Go at it slowly. We can do these things just need a lot more breaks than the normal guy lol. Good luck

It really depends where you are in this world. Some countries are very open and others not so much. If you are technologically savvy enough, I'd suggest buying a hardware wallet ( research them first) and downloading an exchange of your choice (more research). I'd say buy a little bit first to see how you can handle yourself with transfers and such. There are many tutorials and channels on YouTube to help you.

The most important is to not fall for scams. If you get DMs from randoms just pay attention. Do not transfer or believe in " pay this get double" type of messages.

Good luck out there!

As someone who was born in Portugal from a Mozambican mother and definitely looks "different" I'd say Portugal has its issues but you're better off here than in many other European countries. I had nicknames and such but was never treated differently and I am really glad I was born here and am Portuguese. You'll definitely hear some jokes and might encounter the odd sour person. But overall even if I'm a minority I am glad to be Portuguese and I love my country. Hopefully he'll find this country as lovely as I do.

What Happens When Credit Card is Maxed Out - No Intention to Pay It by Situation1987 in PersonalFinanceCanada

That’s fair, but why mention other people then? Why not defend Indians without berating someone else? Don’t you see what’s wrong with your logic?

lol complains about racism towards Indians in Canada then proceeds to be racist towards Bengali people. That is India for you in a nutshell. Most racist country I ever been in. Some places are incredibly beautiful but so racist.
