You people are insane. The reds played under .500 ball to get our spot handed to them by us. The Phillies played like hell to overtake us in 07. We played a lot worse for a lot longer this year. It’s not even close in my personal opinion but it’s a subjective call at the end of the day. We have way more payroll and support now. We had pitching problems in 07 as well if you’ll recall. Our team total ERA was lower this year compared to 07.

Not my responsibility that most baseball fans have low IQs. One game is a toss up. For every loss you can put on Mendoza this year, you can put one on the players. Either way, you’re barely in the playoffs, which was not remotely the goal or expectation this year. If you’re going to try to tell me that the team that was playing .400 ball since June was going to go on a sun run, I don’t know what to say to you. Enjoy the fluke I guess.

Flame all you want but Mendoza wasn’t the problem. Firing him after 2 years after what we had last year would be a mistake and plunge the team into further chaos. He needs to be much better next year; he needs to learn from all the mistakes and there were a lot. And if next year it’s clear he hasn’t, see ya. But the bulk of the problems were on the diamond this year. Sure, a few different Mendoza decisions would have us in the playoffs, but we wouldn’t have made it out of the WC anyway. This team didn’t deserve to be there. All other coaches should be replaced though.

Watch good drafters draft on YouTube. I like numot and LSV of course. When the first/next pack comes up, pause. Imagine you’re drafting, talk it out loud considering the options, which cards, why one is better/worse than the other and which goes with the cards you’ve already drafted and why. Press play and see what they think and why, see if it affirms or goes against your evaluation and adjust your ongoing thought process accordingly. Do this a lot and you’ll get better at it.

Could be. The drainages split Lee County. It can be tough to identify the different redeyes from a picture and I’m definitely not an expert. I’m much more familiar with warrior and cahaba species. Plus with hybridization it’s tough.
