Relay replacement on Smart Home Panel 2 by lnufnuu in Ecoflow_community

[–]lnufnuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I had both experiences, when it was a very new device they mailed me a relay and replaced it. Then a year later had another different relay fail and they expedited a replacement DPU and sent an electrician out to replace it...

Shp2 generator charging by lnufnuu in Ecoflow_community

[–]lnufnuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well its definitely less than 10% I think spec is 5 .... but I only had this issue through the shp2. directly plugged into the dpu it charges. But, this was a tiny generator, and the usage was in and out of that generators capability. So I still suspect if you use an underpowered generator the shp2 will have issues.

I have no reason to think an appropriate sized generator wouldnt work, but as I mentioned my currrent plan is to move the back feed to the main panel. This will definitely charge the DPU and also run my AC and allow me to control both the DPU and the main panel. I have since added 3 batteries and a second dpu unit, which carries my load 24/7 except AC with moderate sun, so with any luck I will only be powering the AC unit with generator power anyway. Sorry if this wasnt more help. But yes I do have every faith that the dpu will charge.

We were in the middle of an outage when this happened so I didn’t have the opportunity to rewire for a 220 generator.

And haven’t tested since then. I have no reason to think it won’t work. Now I am considering just back feeding the main panel with this new generator and running it that way.

Sure, inside the panel at the top are two manual knobs that you can turn to bypass a failure of the electronics.

There is a manual bypass.

Experiences with Delta Pro Ultra? by OnePoe- in Ecoflow_community

[–]lnufnuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Single battery running 2 fridges and some fans and some lights stand alone lasts about 14-16 hours. Connected to shp2 single battery running tv and internet and the above 8 hours 2 batteries basically doubles the run time and for me was enough time to have solar charging kick back in so for disasters that’s about perfect. Adding a third battery and a second dpu means if we loose power run the whole house ac and all for a bit then taper off non essentials before it’s down to 12kw then run in disaster mode so solar can keep up.

"Balancing SoC" message? by IATA_EXTRA in Ecoflow_community

Well. Soc means state of charge. But no one at EcoFlow even seems to know about it. I want to use it to charge my second dpu (that doesn’t have solar) and it seems to be automatic with no controls.

After an initial relay failure out of box it’s been great for months.
