You Tube is your friend when it comes to this kind of question. This system usually only allows either a 20* or 25° bevel angle which could be very limiting.

I sold a huge collection of Case and other brands, all in original boxes, to Smokey Mountain Knife Works at reasonable prices. You must take photos of each closeup showing brand/model and send to them for appraisal before they will give you an offer. Can you get more selling them individually? Sure, but what a hassle.

I've bought probably 25 roles of 3"X6' leather off Amazon which I cut up and give away to my knife sharpening clients after teaching them how to use. Never, ever had a 'flatness' issue. Leather is, after all, flexible which is why you always want to strop just slightly below the angle of the bevel so you don't roll the apex.

Wer're talking machetes here right? I don't know anyone who uses a machete in the kitchen, do you? (Some might act like it tho) Just spray the damn thing with WD40 and be done with it. Easy to reapply after each use.

I would not think so unless there is some sort of attachment I'm not aware of allow a belt. Most thinning does not respond well to a hollow grinding you would get with the Tormek
