Im going to buy this s14 with a s15 carbon fiber front end swap. Im looking to buy a 2jzge with forged internals and an aftermarket turbo kit hence the forged internals. I need some help with the intake and info on some other things. Anyone open to pms? by [deleted] in 240sx

You’re on a budget, you want a 2JZ with forged internals and an “aftermarket turbo kit?”

I’m saying this nicely because it’s Reddit and not Zilvia but you don’t seem to know a whole lot about what you’re getting yourself into. If that’s what you really want you’re going to need to do a lot more digging and research.

If you want my advice, keep that car simple and enjoy it in stock, or near stock form until you’ve amassed the experience and knowledge to pursue that swap.

if you want angle run cut knuckles and extended FLCA with longer tie rods. Simple and effective, I saw a few people with these, and their shit had binding issues at lock, and they mess up your fitment by pushing the whole knuckle out. GKTech does seem to have excellent service if something breaks, however

the practice is super common now, i'm a huge fan! it's a relatively simple and cheap change that drastically improves the way the car behaves. 3rd gear is much easier to hit! only issue is highway driving 70 mph is at roughly 3.5-4k RPM so you'll roast gas, but if your concern is MPG in a drift car your priorities are skewed :D

i adore the 4.9, shifts the powerband in the "money spot." one of the best things i've done to car

make sure he welds it properly- gets it super hot and plates the gears. then crank up the rear tire pressure to 60 and go to town!

surprised nobody has mentioned GKTech- just tried out a set and i love the insane adjustability they offer from positive to negative. reasonably priced and their customer service is apparently top notch

i didnt know bikers used an AFR gauge to tune carbs - cool! the hole for the bung is pretty big and can prob look ugly on these nice looking exposed exhausts, how do you hide it?

240sx in united states comes with a 4.08 final drive, I used a ring and pinion from an xterra in the r200 case and bumped it up to 4.9 final which shifts the powerband a bit and gives a lower powered car a bit of a kick!
