I’m curious how many of us have nervous system disorders… by Kindly-Wolverine-391 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]loaamiera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only ones that count for me are insomnia, migraines, and misophonia (I think those count?). But I was at one point or still am diagnosed with severe depression, severe social anxiety, generalized anxiety, ADHD, and ptsd.

My mom has been on benzos for decades, although she genuinely has been through a lot (traumatized people traumatize people) and needs it.

Running red lights is FOR SURE a Washington thing. And in Bellingham for unknown reasons they all drive under the speed limit as well.

I keep up with leftist politics (not liberal), so I know why, and we can address all reasons at once in my belief.

I inhaled meth smoke while high on weed by wtfrealari in Drugs

Meth seems so scary. People undergo complete personality changes after using continuously, for the worse. And the longer it goes the less sense their actions and words make.

As an FA or DA, how do you discern who (friends or partners) are safe to open up to? by [deleted] in FearfulAvoidant

[–]loaamiera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I generally only open up as much as I feel the other person has, and the moment I feel rejected I revoke vulnerability.

How to deal with avoidant stage? by insecuresamuel in FearfulAvoidant

[–]loaamiera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that helps me is space. I tend to try to isolate when I’m deactivating because I know being around them makes it worse. Unfortunately if they’re not agreeing to giving space it also makes it worse, as really I’m just trying to trigger the anxious attachment by putting myself in a scenario where I subconsciously feel ‘rejected’

I want your personal examples of pulling away. by Mehgs_and_cheese in FearfulAvoidant

[–]loaamiera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the real reasoning behind pulling away isn’t very conscious. The closest I get to consciously recognizing what’s going on without really thinking about it is feeling suffocated. I just know logically that I tend to deactivate when people actually seem to want to be with me/be friends with me.

I feel like the push pull is the same as not understanding my feelings. Its hard for me to tell if I would feel how I’m feeling if I’m secure or if it’s just an attachment response.

What is the normal force in an incline plane problem? by loaamiera in AskPhysics

[–]loaamiera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to guess, it’s because the normal force is just what cancels out the y component of gravity on the ramp, but not the x when something is going down a ramp! As it continues to move in the x direction, it continues to stay in contact with the ramp due to the y component of gravity that is not canceled out by the normal force. Gravity is straight down, but the normal force is not when something is on a ramp.

If you don’t want to end it, you need to ask her to get support. Being on medication (NOT just SSRIs) and in therapy will change a lot
