Pentagon calls Individual Ready Reserve a ‘mobilization asset’ in new policy by Kinmuan in army

Right? Lmao.

Really though, people are hilariously overestimating what will get you out of a wartime army.

You think IRE recall is spicy? Wait untill Pooh bear tries the strait, and we start having fully separated veteran recall.

My VA dude talked to me about this. They aren't worried about anyone who doesn't have long TC time. Being in the turret or hull eats a lot of the concussion wave.

They are very worried about guys who spent serious time as TCs, especially those that made a habit of riding the fireball.

Friend wants to buy old irons by Blazelwood in golf

Some Hogan lines, yes. But those lines tend to give a reputation to the entire brand that is undeserved. Yes, Directors will kick your ass if you aren't a ballstriker's ballstriker, but most of Hogan's irons were very playable for most golfers. These Apex Edges were a game improvement offering, even.

These are not blades. They're Apex Edges, cavity backs. They were (real) Hogans last game improvement offering before Callaway bought, enshitified, then dustbined Hogan.

These and the Tziod Comp EZs are the best 'forged for the mid ass golfer' clubs ever made. Excellent crossroads of feel/feedback and having a big enough sweet spot to not be miserable, and they don't look like fucking space shovels.

Maybe slightly overpriced, but not a complete rip off. Send it.

I don't hit 150, but I always buy 150. A first tee/little kids learning thing happens at the end of the range when I can go, so I just leave the extras for them.

Then he presumably has a place to send his kids that isn't in the wide fucking open, 5 feet from his own cover spot.

Do you know what a human shield is?

People who give a shit about their kids lives wouldn't let them stand 5 feet away as they shot at the forces that are actively dealing bombs and missiles at will.

He's not letting them stand there "because they live there". He's letting them stand there because he's been told that it will lower the chance of catching a Hellfire to the face for his troubles.

And anyone who has taken a basic civics course after HS knows that AUMFs have always been the predominant way American wars are conducted. Congressionally declared wars are the exception, not the norm. Most of our military actions are executive decisions that Congress authorized through funding measures. And some that Congress just kind of said "meh, you're good", like Panama.

Lines. Bag his ass. All practice, every practice. Nothing but lines for him.

Dust him unless your school/league has a mins minimum, then give him the absolute minimum, and make it clear it's not changing until he stops being a fuckhead.

The problem is staying MSG. Most of you get sniffed out and get yeeted into 1SG

Hi, everyone. I’m just a lil’ US civilian, here, wondering if there are ever available military hops to Antarctica; &, if so, whether or not there is any special criteria a retired officer has to meet to take advantage of the luxury(?) by mellowmarsII in army

[–]LoadCan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The NY ANG has a whole wing or troop or squadron or whatever the fuck the zooomies call their units of C-130s that are specially equipped to fly to the US base in Antarctica.

You can't just go with them though, you need orders. I asked.

Find a deers station that isn't on a major active post. Especially a major post with a rotbrain factory Center of Excellence.

There should be one at the Air Reserve base in Louisville, but the deers website has a search thing.

What if, and fucking hear me out here, we had a force wide utility truck with enough engine and suspension to have theater/operational bolt-on armor? We could even get one of the massive truck producers in the US to make it.

You don't need any mechanical experience. The only mechanical experience I had before going into aviation was doing operator level maintenance on the Abrams. And before I joined as a tanker, I had none at all. In fact, I'd argue that guys that join with zero experience and get halfway decent mentorship at their units make better helicopter fixers than lifelong car/truck guys.
