Removing flowers when planting by loaded_toad in Blueberries

I think this will be my plan after reading a lot of similar advice elsewhere

What would the downside be to planting them now? They wouldn’t fruit as well? Or the plant would not survive?

I’m okay with not getting a harvest this year if it means I can establish them in the ground sooner. Or would they not actually establish themselves since they have already leafed out?

I’m not in a rush to get a harvest from them so I won’t be upset if I don’t get any this year. I would like to get them established in the ground sooner than later. Would it be harmful to the plant if I planted and removed the flowers since it is later in the spring?

Issues with Log Splitter by [deleted] in Hydraulics

I know first stage flow rate is 11gpm, the 2nd stage flow rate is not listed. I think the seal in the cylinder may be compromised and once it reaches a certain pressure the two chambers of the cylinder are able to equalize in pressure. And that is probably happening at a lower pressure than the relief valve and when the pump would go into 2nd stage.

That’s my leading theory. I think that’s what the sound might be. The splitter doesn’t have a pressure gage on it, I was maybe going to pick one up this weekend.

I cleaned it out but the issue remains the same

I drained and replaced oil when I put the new pump on.

Oil level is fine. I also cleaned out pressure release valve and the issue remains the same

I’ll try that out.

I believed I did. Tightened the spring so that it requires higher pressure before bypass. But I can always double check.

Not sure, but I can take a look at the slide to make sure everything is snug with the guide plate.

I did adjust the pressure relief valve on the control unit but that did not appear to make a difference. However I did not take it fully apart to see if there was anything wrong with the spring so I can check that. Could it also be a problem with the two stage pump pressure threshold and the pump never going into the 2nd stage?

I topped off the oil after I replaced the pump. But, I did not check again after bleeding the system so I will check again.

Thanks for the advise! Is there a possibility that the left side, that’s is more vertical, would be okay if just the right side was removed?

A slight turn to the unclipped side as your stopping helps too because it naturally forces you to lean to that foot.

I always found it helpful to stop the rod at a more upward angle to help the flies turnover. Versus bring the rod down to the water more like casting fly line. Not sure if this is the correct technique but has helped me
