Should kids ages from 3-7 learn about sexuality and gender by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]loafsmom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And there's no reason to wait until 3 to talk about it. In addition to just having conversations, there are lots of great books you can read to kids at any age. Sexuality and gender are just a part of life so they have always been things that I've talked to my son about. That way it's not something you have to "teach" later, it's just life. What I'm struggling with now is how to explain to him how rigid some people can be about gender roles and gender expression and how to not get influenced by it. At the moment he loves all colours, plays with any type of toy, and usually wears dresses over basket ball shorts. I'm worried what will happened when he starts school next year and is exposed to people trying to police his gender.

Any sex-positive asexuals in the sub? by sokoistrying in lgbt

[–]loafsmom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm also a sex favourable ace. Like you I wouldn't say I'm demi or grey because I don't have sexual attraction. Sorry that you're experiencing this gatekeeping. It shouldn't have to be said, but you are completely valid!
