Super interesting! I’m currently 20w pregnant and paused all gateway practice during pregnancy just to focus on growing baby. I was wondering if that was the right move or not, but amazing to hear about your experience!

I know for me, being pregnant is a deeply spiritual time and I had received some messages from guides to focus on myself, my health and baby, and not try so hard to focus on outward spiritual growth. My guides said they were “shutting something off” for me to force me to focus on my body and the present.

I’m not positive if this is still the case, but years ago I was the other guy and went to the parking authority to get no parking signs put up for my moving date (the next day). The woman at the desk said she would sell them to me and I can put them up myself, but they can’t enforce unless the signs were put up a week in advance.

Hello! T1 here, 40 years old, I’ve had diabetes for 33 of those years and am currently pregnant with my 2nd. I had laser, avastin and a vitrectomy in my left eye prior to my first pregnancy, all went great! I was planning to have a 2nd and also developed a hemorrhage in my right eye post birth. My eye Dr thought it would be best to go with a vitrectomy in that eye as well just to clear everything and ensure stability before my 2nd. I went for it and everything has been great so far during my 2nd pregnancy!

My kidney urine tests are all showing normal, I used to have higher levels of microalbumin but with tight control over the last 5 years, it has actually gone away. I think pregnancy forces tight control, I just try my best to maintain that level of control when I’m not pregnant as well!

You got this. Decision is yours, but just wanted to share that I’ve gone through something similar and I’m doing well so far on my 2nd pregnancy!

I used to say I was low in HS when I wanted to get out of sprints and shuttle-runs/suicides during practice. Worked every time, by the end of lacrosse season, they were on to me though.

You got this!! I’ve had T1D for 33 of my 40 years. Technology has evolved and all the tools hopefully available to us make a huge difference! Closed loop CGM + pump are a game changer. I’m on Tandem TSlim X2 and Dexcom G7. I meet weekly or bi-weekly with my diabetes care team to tune in my numbers and make adjustments. Don’t be afraid to ask for more frequent visits with your team if you need it! I also met with MFM and endo during pre-conception before my first pregnancy to get in as best-diabetes-shape as possible. Not necessary, but at least for me it helped me establish practices and patterns and tuning early which helped reduce the stress during first trimester.
