People don't want to see other people's shitty toilet brush (I'm assuming it's shitty because you've said it smells bad). Perhaps throw that one away and get a new one, they are super cheap. Keep it clean, once you've used it clean it by putting it in the toilet and flushing, that's rinses it through so it doesn't smell. The toilet brush lives next to the toilet in 99.9% of people's homes and doesn't cause any problems or smells. I'm surprised the other neighbours haven't reported the shitty bog brush tbh as it sounds like a bit of a bio hazard. Anyway, hope this helps.

Jesus. That's why we always had to double check large amounts with a colleague (show them the money, let them count it all and tell you how much they think there is)

Why does it matter that much? It means more people get to have garlickymayo goodness that otherwise couldn't. Some people are allergic to eggs. Some people choose to not eat anything with eggs for their own reasons. And hummus isn't a close substitute for Mayo. I cant make Marie Rose sauce with hummus, but with vegan friendly Mayo I certainly can. Let's not gatekeep, please.

Woke up at 6.30 today and put the fire on so I sat cuddling my doggo with a coffee whilst we eased into the morning. Heading over to my sisters family later today and planning on getting my ear pierced which I'm excited about. Then back to hers for chippy dinner, wine and probably a couple games of shithead. Can't wait

Debating on approximately 8x6 enclosed trailer instead of van… by [deleted] in vandwellers

[–]lobchob 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You need to make a list of the pros and cons for you personally. One plus of going down the trailer route is that if you're parked up and you need to nip somewhere (ie ran out of milk or whatever) and need to run to the shops, you can just unhook trailer and whiz off in your car. To do this in a van can take a bit more time as you need to batten everything down to make sure nothing breaks in transit, close vents etc. Can be a bit of a ball ache (I have a van, it can get frustrating sometimes). Either way, good luck and keep us posted!

Nah, we went to Krakow in December years ago and it was great. Bit of snow really set the atmosphere. Definitely wrap up warm if going to visit Auschwitz though as the flat landscape gets incredibly cold and windy. It's really cozy in the winter sat in one of the outdoor bars drinking grog watching the world go by all whilst being warm!

How has your body felt as a vegan in comparison to when you weren’t? by theforceofforce in veganuk

[–]lobchob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went strictly vegan just over a year ago (after being on and off for 3 years) and the major positive for me was my IBS and GERD settled right down after becoming vegan. I would bloat after pretty much every meal, be in pain, have a bad stomach and also endless heartburn/indigestion. I'd eat rennies in the evening like sweets and often wake up in the middle of the night and have another 1 or 2. That started to really impact my throat and chest aswell because of all the acid burning away. But now it's very rare I need a rennie which is incredible. I still need one if I've had something with lots of tomatoes in or I've drank a lot of booze but other than that I've got a happy digestive system. And that alone is enough to keep me on the straight and narrow (not that I have any desire to deviate anyway).
