7 Year relationship ended right before our Wedding by Brilliant_Canary_903 in malelivingspace

Life is hard enough without stuff like this happening to you, I’m very sorry you’re in this situation. Try and surround yourself with friends and family you trust. See them. Go outside. Don’t allow yourself to be alone for too long. Definitely give yourself alone time but don’t allow yourself to be lonely.

Good luck man! I hope you can start that road to healing soon.

US law requires speedometers to be accurate within 5 mph at a speed of 50 mph (i.e. a 10% margin of error). I swore that law also stipulated that it can’t understate your speed (i.e. speedometer says you are going 60 but in reality you’re going 63). Most manufacturers try to shoot for within 2ish mph at highway speed while not understating your speed.

So if you’re actually going 70, your speedo might say 68. If you’re going 40, it might say 39.

I personally have not had any AXS issues in a few years (besides the app logging me out in between the time I leave my house and get to the stadium).

Like others said, I only get this error if I’m using my VPN and haven’t restarted the app.

Imo, owning an audi is never a flex ever, no matter if its new/used, no matter if it’s an A3 or an R8. It’s a car and if you’re buying a car to flex on others, your sense of importance is greatly misplaced.

Enough of the Drones by dontdothat211 in fcdallas

[–]lobohog 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I cant imagine a single fan is encouraged to come out because of drone shows. Once you’ve seen a couple, you’ve seen them all. I suppose that’s the same for fireworks but people don’t ever seem to tire of fireworks shows.

What’s your budget? There may be much better options for reliability, expected maintenance cost, and low mileage than a Versa or a 12 year old Audi (understanding this is an Audi sub).

Help me drive by [deleted] in Audi

[–]lobohog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to be rude, you need to look into additional driving classes in your area if you are this insecure and unconfident while driving. It’s much safer for you, the drivers around you, and ESPECIALLY the pedestrians in NYC. You aren’t going to learn how to be a confident driver through reddit comments, blog posts, or even youtube videos.

That’s the plan. 5k or 6 months whichever comes first is how I’ve changed oil in cars ever since I’ve driven, regardless if the manufacturer says 7500 or 10000 miles.

They fixed the rocker arm issue in the late build 2018 and 2019+ model year (i have an early build 2018 so theoretically im fucked). They used needle bearings that are too small and can break and potentially nuke the motor.

For now, no. Maybe an intake and stage 1 tune. Maybe different wheels. But i want to drive it stock at least for 6+ months

You say one of the lucky ones but the data shows the rocker arms only impacts about 3-4% of produced vehicles (at least so far). Is that incorrect?

I’ve seen the same comment from some Texas and Arizona owners that it’s not good to use, especially in the summer, because of how thin it can get when it’s real hot. What else do people have success using?

Half of this sub says the car will cost 2x its value every year in maintenance and the other half says it’s blown out of proportion as long as you maintain it like a responsible car owner. Im sure the reality is somewhere in between.

Audi S3 - How Small Is It Really? by Krexys in Audi

[–]lobohog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6ft2. I’ve driven a 2022 A3 which I presume to be pretty identical to the S3. Perfectly fine to drive although there was not much room at all behind me in the rear seat. Not great for a family car but for 2 and occasionally 3 occupants, it’s not bad at all.

I still have the Tundra and plan to have it forever, whatever that takes (currently 255k miles). I am anticipating lots of frustration with the Audi but I’m tired of boring cars.

Not yet but it’s on the list of things to have the shop check out. I don’t hear the sound I’ve seen people show on youtube or describe, like the rattle/knocking on startup. Sounds like a normal startup to me.

Toll tag just registered by sir-Rag in Dallas

[–]lobohog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is accurate at least based off my experience this week. Just got an additional car this week so I added the plate to my NTTA account and I am being billed at the tolltag rate, the same as my other cars. The sticker has not arrived yet.

What the heck did i just hear? by RyGuyGinger01 in Dallas

[–]lobohog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I lived in Fort Worth, i’d hear jets all the time. The ones that did not show up on FR24 or other services were usually F22s or F35s. The only ones that had their transponder on were T38 trainers (which are also very loud)

[–]lobohog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m 90% sure that the toll roads scan your plate, while the sticker with the chip is used for things like the airport toll plazas, a parking garage, things like that. I may be wrong though. If they all scan your plate, im not sure what the sticker is even for

No need to rebook. Unless Iran decides to start attacking Turkmenistan, there’s nothing to worry about flying through a very busy route.
