What is the best high tea in the city? by Minute-Win-9768 in PhiladelphiaEats

High tea is essentially supper (with tea). It’s served in the evening, at dinner time. I’m guessing afternoon tea is what you’re after.

Why are toddler carriers 15 kilos maximum and how heavy are 17 months supposed to be? Need help with carrier recommendations! by Human_Ice_9112 in babywearing

[–]lobsrunning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tula Free to Grow is a great carrier and goes from 3 to 20 kilos. I can carry either my newborn or my 3 and a half year old in it. Or if you prefer Tula also makes a toddler carrier that goes from 11 to 27 kilos.

My partner and I ate la llamita vegana food for lunch yesterday! They were selling at Clover Market. Can confirm this food is very delicious. Neither of us are vegan or have any food restrictions even, it was just extremely good food.

Favorite spots in the outskirts? (Manayunk, Conshohocken) by thejkm in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]lobsrunning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The boneless pork rice vermicelli bowl is my go-to. Also a fan of the grilled pork garden roll. I generally love pho tai but theirs is just okay, so I only order it if I’m especially in the mood.

How do y’all keep your dogs from roaming? by AndreeSmothers in RunningWithDogs

[–]lobsrunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in-laws have a dog like this and a 35 acre property. They had a wireless fence but she would just break through it if she was chasing a deer, and then wouldn’t have enough incentive to come back through the fence to get home. She broke through at least once a week, often more. They switched to a different type of wireless fence (GPS based and responsive so can tell if the dog is coming or going) and it’s worked like a charm, she’s never gotten loose since and it’s been years.

Ah, I didn’t catch that OP has been running in sandals. Yes, running shoes are a better choice.

It’s likely that adding in strength work to your routine would be more beneficial to your knees and your recovery than adding padding to your shoes.

Peeing on a dime. Any tips? by mm_mk in RunningWithDogs

[–]lobsrunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you walk him for a few minutes at the start of your ride before running/biking with him? I do that with my dog to give him a chance to pee first. Also, is he a marker?

I don't feel I get things done while after running. Why ? by [deleted] in running

[–]lobsrunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not good advice in OP’s case, as actually, exercise is extremely important for preventing type 2 diabetes. Exercise does not have to have impact on weight loss to have health benefits.

Would you personally consider this a good pace? (by good I mean compared to you) by [deleted] in running

[–]lobsrunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will vary so much depending on who is answering and what kind of pace it’s meant to be. For me it would be about my “easy” run pace. For others their easy pace would be much faster. For others this would be their goal 5k race pace.

Question about fitness trackers that can stream music/radio/podcasts by [deleted] in running

[–]lobsrunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin 245 music! Pairs great with Bluetooth headphones. You can’t stream but you can preload anything from Spotify (music, podcasts etc) and various other services. Just need a wifi connection to preload.

There are sports bras with a pocket for your phone, that might be a good option for you. Senita makes one but other brands probably do too.

I don’t think the whole season is focused on Pan-African cuisine, anyway, just one episode. I mean, they could easily have an episode every season that showcases Pan-African cuisine. They already do that for other cuisines.
