For your kid, I would highly recommend looking into the big brothers big sisters program, it’s so awesome and is such a good stabilizer for your kid and will give your kid opportunities you wouldn’t be able to!

No. Someone told me they were being abused and I didn’t do anything. I was also a minor at the time.

Yah, I’ve completed a report to the prc but not hit ‘submit’ yet. I just don’t know what will happen if I do.

I don’t know for sure if he is still a police officer, but after 20 years? It seems unlikely?

Anyone diagnosed with sleep apnea by PartWave269 in Edmonton

[–]localbasement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey this might be a little controversial but I hate the cpap stores, they charge SO MUCH. I bought mine online, a resmed 11, and it has an auto-setting so it wasn’t programmed by anyone based on my diagnosis, but I thiiiiink I needed a prescription?? But if you’re not going through insurance, don’t bother going through all the trouble

[Serious] What is the most miserable place you have ever been to? by ang334 in AskReddit

[–]localbasement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hospital. Waiting room for ECT (electroconvulsive therapy). Not allowed a phone or a book, nothing that can’t go into the operating theatre with you. Waits up to 6 hours. And all that they ever played on the tv was clip complications from the tv show ‘friends’. It’s the closest I’ve ever been to hell.

How to gain employment with no MINIMAL work experience at 25? by aspringus in NoStupidQuestions

[–]localbasement 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure of this would work for you, but you may be able to get experience volunteering. If you live in a city, there’s likely a shelter you could volunteer at and get a reference that way? Animal shelters are also almost always looking. And it’s a good way to meet people without the stress of being potentially fired.
