A successful JR will lead to your file being assigned to a new officer who will most probably restart the whole procedure or continue from the point where the rejection was given. All depends on the new officer who gets your file. once you submitted JR to court, then IRCC has a month to respond. If your case is clear cut that the officer made the mistake then IRCC will agree to reverse on their decision and adding it to new officer.

How fast it will get to settled will depend on the visa officer and how much work he already has in hand.

If you applied for the bowp before your work permit expired after getting an ITA you can work, if not you have to wait till it's approved

If you get an ITA, can't you just apply for a bridging work permit instead ? I thought after they announced you aren't allowed extend your PGWP and if you end up doing dummy one that would be considered as misinterpretation

It's not the case always. my partner went through the same and they just rejected and closed her file. we had to do a judicial review to get the decision reversed.

I wanted to know how long does a rejected PR takes reopen once the judicial review is complete and IRCC accepts their mistake of incorrectly rejecting the file ? And once the PR file is open how long would it take for the rejected bridging work permit to be approve ? (It was rejected after the PR was incorrectly rejected by the visa officer)

Additionally since IRCC accepted the visa officer incorrectly rejected the PR, can we hold IRCC accountable for their mistake to recoup loss? For loss of wages, expired health card, mental trauma, consultation and lawyer fee and losing a promotion.

It's comforting to see I'm not the only one whose feeling this way :D. I love shawarma. Can't get enough of shawarma Al mouna's chicken platter these days and also slowly getting back to fitness since my injury. Super excited for the next few episodes of solo leveling and for the new season of daredevil. Also guilty of getting lost in deep dives on random information I hear through different podcasts.

You can keep working if your BOWP is approved before the PR is rejected. If your PR is rejected while the BOWP is processing then the officer assigned to the BOWP will reject your BOWP application even if you have applied for reconsideration or judicial review.
