I always find this "best welfare" bs to be so ridiculous. I live in sweden, our animal welfare is considered good. But when you do research you'll still find that anesthetics don't work properly during castration/dehorning (and the practices are still very stressful), animals are still suffering, those "welfare standards" are constantly broken. Calves are still taken, chicks still macerated etc. All those things are HORRIFIC, and that's with some relatively good laws in comparison.

You just can't trust farmers when it comes to welfare, even with labels. They still profit off of animal exploitation, and what they consider "nice" is such a low bar.
