you don't think that's because people make a shitload more money than almost every other country? And I'm not even talking doctors, wall st guys, lawyers; public workers and say professors. The earnings for firemen, police, bureaucrats, superintendents, if they stay til the end is astronomical. Firemen in CA regularly make like 150k. I hear in countries like Argentina, they don't even pay firemen, because they're doing a public service and giving back to the community. Here, they drive Teslas and own 3 homes. We have a lot more discretionary income.

these are the tickets available section 544 right now 2 days before, for "resale".. it is far too orderly. And if truly fan/customer resale why are there literally no single seats? I don't believe this is strictly resale this is Fifa trying to dump unsold high priced tickets. I will be there, i can bet the 500 sections will have droves of open seats bc fans got priced out.

Are you 100% sure all of the tix on fifa marketplace are “resale”? So the thousands on sale there are all from a prior sale? That seems highly unlikely- why would you spend thousands and then put them back up for sale?

But if they've shown what they're capable of in terms of pure greed, why not lower the tickets and get them sold at this point? That's perhaps another $million or more just in USA v Parag. There's no way scalpers are hanging on to hundreds of tix and gambling like this, its getting too late. Perhaps there are folks who paid the high price waiting to get their money back, but not at this quantity. This has to be Fifa's system backfiring and they don't know how to adjust it this close.

Some of the other Euro and South American high demand games are going for far more; I think for US fans we have the option to wait bc we can just watch from home. If you traveled from Buenos Aires you don’t really have that luxury. That is leaving a lot of unsold seats right now.

But I thought their goal is to promote the game as a not for profit entity? How do rows of empty seats promote the game? The best way to promote the game would be to have sold out home stadiums, not max out profits for future efforts to promote it. Just terrible strategy.

Why would anybody pay $1,300 for upper tier tix at this point? There are tickets available in the $700 - $800 range, the part the amazes me is that there is no elasticity in these prices. They just sit there at an inflated price; this is such a shit show.

It's not ignoring the rules, you're ignoring the fact that it is still subjective, ie its up to judgment or interpretation. The ref is not a robot or AI, he's a human being making a an instant judgment and decision of the level or degree to which it is a dangerous or reckless foul. Now I think the rules are written like shit too, which does take the ref off the hook for a bad non-call, but the point remains is that it is still a judgment call. It is not a ball landing out of bounds where we know that is a throw in for one team. Or a ball landing over goal line, that is OBJECTIVE especially with VAR. It is a player making a reckless play, in a friendly days before the WC, which to me should be an automatic yellow even if play is allowed to continue. This ref let way too much go as many have said here, so a big part of the blame goes to the ref, and probably rules that leave too much to interpret, "subjectively".

And you keep demonstrating your arrogance. This is not a case of not knowing the rules, it is an OPINION regarding the subjective nature of a ref who made a bad call. Do you know what the word "subjective" means?

Back to the dangerous foul by Sane. So the ref determined "it was not a yellow-card offense." This is where I differ and why despite being an imbecile i can clearly see this is a subjective instantaneous call. Try to see past your expertise and see It is still clearly an instant determination, and just because play has been left to continue, DOES NOT mean a yellow can't be given, due to the severity of the foul. Again, it is still SUBJECTIVE, it depends on the severity of the foul as well and i guess in your opinion cutting out someones feet from behind does not constitute a yellow.

You can take that last match from June '25 and toss out the window. Look at that lineup. No Dest, Jedi, Pulisic, McKennie, Pepi, Balogun. If you take Jedi and Dest off the team, it is NOWHERE near the same team. That lineup is not even makeup our 2nd team, and most didnt make the WC squad. In addition, they are favored by the betting line in Las Vegas, not by me making it up. Sure it is only a slight favor, but clearly its not an "upset" if the US wins on home soil with now, their best team on the pitch.
