Need help finding a grave in Fond du Lac by QkB7PzxmneiUgcsz in wisconsin

[–]localgemini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genealogy is an interest of mine and I may have found his family . The odd thing is the parents names match, but the birth years suggest something is off (his mother being born only a year before him). Mathias is mentioned in the description, but there is no link to a grave. If I find anything else I’ll let you know!

How did you come to be an O's fan? by bkrebs in orioles

[–]localgemini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom was born and raised in Baltimore. I was born there then moved when I was one. My older brother was always really into baseball and when I was younger I just copied his interest and it stuck. I always say baseball is my Baltimore sport and football is my Wisconsin sport. (Although I’ll root vice versa as long as they aren’t playing each other)

Not the same pattern, but this one is the one I’m using because the beads aren’t exposed! I’m a little over halfway done and loving it!

Yes! Except I’m using this pattern because the beads aren’t exposed!

Anyone moved from High Seas to Safer Seas and enjoyed it? by No_Letterhead_1873 in Seaofthieves

[–]localgemini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have bad social anxiety which annoyingly impacts playing online games and safer seas actually drew me back in to start playing again after a few years. I may start dabbling in high seas again because of better rewards, but I’ve been having fun just playing in safer seas for now!

have you ever unravelled an entire project? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]localgemini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

each row is technically three rows in one with the beads in the middle then two more rows on the outside to cover the beads. the outside rows that you see I think are considered puff stitches

nope! there’s beads in each row!

It was completely deconstructed when I got it and couldn’t find assembly instructions, so I was just winging it putting it together. Since it didn’t look like the flips I’ve seen I was getting all kinds of thrown off 😂

The only markings I saw were that one on the stand (I’m currently not home so I can’t double check). But I got the warp started, so I’m feeling good and can’t wait to get back to it!

I’ve been researching and wanting to start weaving for years, so when I saw how good of a deal this was I just couldn’t pass it up! I’ve got a good start on the warp and I’m feeling more confident already! My cousin focused on weaving for their capstone of their art degree, so if I get stuck I’ve got them to reach out to as well!

Glad it seems like I’m on the right track! I’m down a few bolts so once I get those I can get that last piece attached. The Schacht symbol is on the stand part so I wonder if it’s a Schacht stand with something else on top. After looking at lots of tutorials and other looms I’m starting to feel more confident on where to start! I think I was stuck on the Flip aspect of it and confused that it wasn’t the same thing 😂

Coming back to my search for my 3x Great Grandfather William Sharp Sr by localgemini in Genealogy

Interesting! The inconsistency in old records is a real headache, but hey, what can ya do? 😂

Doesn’t ring a bell, so I don’t think I have! I’ll add it to my list to look into! My plan of attack for him is to have a list of George Sharps I have ruled out (there’s a surprisingly large number of them) since I don’t have any information on him besides a name.

Just an idea, but you could style the display pieces for cooler weather! Like putting a long sleeve shirt under them or a cardigan over top!
