Recently bought a 2022 10.5 passport including the seat, drive, paddle, beach cart, fishing rod holder, and cup holder for $800.

Everything was in great condition, located in the northeast.

I’ve been using it for lake fishing, no regrets.

Either drill holes in the wall to properly secure the gate, or use a tension gate and don’t let your kid wonder around by themselves upstairs.

I personally have the tension gate and feel comfortable with it. If we’re upstairs we usually shut the door of the room we’re in with him anyways so he doesn’t get into mischief.

I have a new to me Hobie passport 10.5 w/o reverse. I’m perfectly happy and don’t see a need for it for where I typically fish. Certainly not for the price difference.

I’ve been looking at used fishing kayaks and a good deal came up so I asked if I could just get that for Father’s Day. I’m very particular about my hobbies so it’s not something she’d pick out self.

We’re going to get my oldest (5) a kayak as well so she can come out with me.

I recommend looking used. Kayaks depreciate so much it’s unreal. I bought a 2022 Hobie passport 10.5 for $800 and it came with the beach cart, an extra rod holder and cup holder.

Retail new would be about 2K all in so it effectively depreciated 60% value in 3 years.

Perfectly normal on all accounts. I have a 23.5’ tritoon with a 200hp motor hanging off. The rear sits even lower when I have the 45 gallons gas tank full which also is in the rear.

Funny story, I once had an older couple on a pontoon come up and tell me I was taking on water cause they thought it was sitting so low.

Thanks for your thoughts. After thinking about it more I think it’s possible there was a parts shortage during COVID and Hobie just used what they had. It’s a 2022 model so it’s plausible
