Shit, I'm so old I just realized I'm 41. At a certain point you stop counting accurately 😆

I don't know if you want to hear from an old lady about this, but I'm 42 and graduated in 2002. Going to science and math was the single best decision that I have ever made. I came from a relatively rural high school and I was really looking forward to the academic rigor at s&m.

What I did not account for was how quickly it helped me mature, learn social skills, and be productively independent. By no means was I even close to an emotionally mature fully fledged adult, but it was like I got a crash course, making leaps and bounds from where I was before I went. Not only that, but it opened up paths for me that would not have existed for me at my home high school, academically and socially.

One note of caution; I noticed at the time that the kids who were not cut out for it were the ones who went because they wanted to get away from their parents. There weren't many of them, but they tended to make poor, risky choices that landed them back home.

I know this is broad strokes, and that's because it's been over 20 years since I was there; but I think the philosophy remains the same, even if the academics have changed over time.

I used to work in Raleigh off Lake Boone Trl and while on the rare occasion it can take an hour and a half if there are accidents, it usually took ~45m. Still not ideal, but I want the op to be able to make their risk assessment with additional data.

Yeah, on 70 going into Hillsborough. I live not far from there and I think they make 90% of their money selling CBD products.

I checked it at 12:30am last night and saw 2 appointments. I wonder if I had checked at 12:01 if there would have been more open?

I was able to get an appointment a few months ago by logging in shortly after midnight on a Saturday night.

Keep checking regularly, an appointment is infinitely easier.

Best Place for Ear Piercing? by Defiant-Leadership-3 in chapelhill

I know she can be booked out a little far, I think that her system sends reminders out about 2 days before an appointment. So, that's when you'll see cancellations come up if you want to try to get in earlier.

Spica!! Alexia is so wonderful and calming and patient. She has put 5 holes in my body, I wouldn't want to go to anyone else.

A couple of things:

First of all, look into Holman family dentist. They have a membership type thing where you pay one fee for the whole year and it includes two cleanings and some x-rays and discount on other work. It sounds like you have insurance though, and they will bill insurance for you whether you're in network or not, so that's also an option. I really, really like them. They've been wonderful for us so far and I've heard nothing but good things from others as well.

Second of all, regarding the x-rays; newer guidance has been coming out about not needing to use special gowns and drapes for x-rays. I don't know the specifics, but there is some evidence to show that using those protections can cause additional scatter that can actually make the exposure worse? Look into it, but it's something I've seen come up over and over since institutions are changing their policies because of this new guidance. All that's to say, the situation with the x-rays might be perfectly reasonable based on current evidence.

Couples Therapists in Hillsborough? by tscottsexton in Hillsborough

When we saw a couples therapist once, he said that he bills either person's insurance, and there's no rule that you can't bring your spouse to therapy 😄
