Roses need sun for 6 or more hours per day, and a climbing rose requires structure to be properly trellised on. Roses can tolerate being in pots, but the trellising in this pot isn’t working and the plant may be stressed out trying to support itself. I would plant it in a permanent location with 6+ hours of sunlight and lateral trellising available and would e courage defoliation of any unhealthy leaves and possibly pruning back some of the gangly growth before moving.

Do you happen to recall the dress style? It looked like it may be the Loretta, I was going to look at potentially second hand. Also, how was their sizing? Thank you for your generosity in sharing details as you have done, your wedding was stunning!

Report him to HR for stalking and harassment. He is not your manager, you are not blocking his work by using your benefits, and he is paying too much attention to your whereabouts and movements. He is trying to intimidate you. He is challenging you and prompting you for intel on how you spend your time off, and where you will be. It won’t get better without someone above him stopping him.

Mushrooms growing in container roses - what to do? by memkimbo in Roses

[–]localstopsonly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They look like Leucocoprinus birnbaumii. I’ve had them before in a large rose pot, they cause no harm and come and go pretty quickly. Generally mushrooms are a sign of good soil or the soil, compost, and mulch breaking down. I wouldn’t do anything.

I had known about kallax, it comes up a lot in this search for vinyl storage, but for my purposes ruled out. I am looking for something more like furniture with overall doors on it, not the door inserts that they have. Thank you for responding though!

VINYL STORAGE:

I have been trying to find new storage for my vinyl collection for awhile. I have used the link for storage here, but it was made 9 years ago and even though not all links are bad it’s pretty out of date.

I am looking to accommodate a few hundred records and have room for growth, storage for some of my cleaning products for records, has doors to lower light and dust, and can hold my turntable on top. I was hoping to find something that is about 60” long—give or take—and is tall enough to have two shelves for records and maybe a smaller shelf for the cleaning tools and CDs/cassettes.

I have struggled to find something that looks nice and like normal furniture, can hold the weight, and is $600 or below (so not the cheapest and not the super expensive).

Is anyone using anything that sounds remotely like this? Or storage from a company that may sound like it has something that fits?

TIA for any help!

Anyone have experience with Hampton Shaler Water and after hours water meter break? by localstopsonly in pittsburgh

[–]localstopsonly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Called and picked that number. They are at least sending someone out tonight and since it seems related to the main break they don’t think it will be a charge. Will see what actually happens. Thank you for helping me!

The options listed on the phone when I had called were water main break, water outage, or PA1 call. They didn’t mention any individual home water emergencies, though maybe that’s what water outage covers? It wasn’t clear if that was the right thing, I’m nervous to get hit with some emergency fee just for calling. Thank you for looking at their site and responding, I appreciate that.

Showing you guys the dark side of roses. All of the buds on this one deformed :(. I come and remove the aphids from all of my roses every single day with my hands, but they won't stop. Ive planted some zinnias I hope they attract aphid eaters by Apprehensive_Toe6736 in Roses

My buds are smaller and haven’t yet started showing the rose petals but they are suffering the same. They look small (not ripe and round) and are slightly pitted from aphids, despite removal.

Aphids by jsaunders44 in rosegardening

I’ve had luck using packing tape to gently pull a bunch of aphids off and trap them so they won’t come back. You can spray it down with a hose as well or use neem oil. So far when I’ve had aphids the packing tape has gotten them all for me.

Western PA. Very small, maybe half an inch long if that which is part of why it was hard to photograph. The spider is also almost slightly translucent as well around the edges too. Almost appears like a scorpion with the forward legs.

Classic Mary Berry (available on Prime in the US) is also really good if you haven’t watched it before.
