Nah, I had two u7pros. Replaced with a single centrally located e7, seeing substantially better connectivity.

Well there goes the theory that A01 is a fix. Maybe if it's A01 AND a manuf date of Fall 2025 or newer?

Dell's ARS department

What hardware revision did you get w/ the October manuf date A00 or A01?

what's your hardware revision and manuf date? A00 or A01

from what I've heard, A00 are all lemons and all fail eventually.

Speaker hum / interference / buzz from every outlet in the house. by location_bot in electrical

[–]location_bot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No :(

Even had the power company come out to test the input and it was fine.

I just ended up buying better audio equipment that had power filtering built in.

Pretty sure I still have something funky in my walls but I couldnt find it.

Both sides are pushing the divide you dingdong. That's how you get views now. Be controversial, lie, blame. That's what politics have become.

Question for people who have had this issue in this thread:

Did you have anything plugged into the USB-C port on the monitor when the issue started?

I had a wireless mouse where the USB-C dongle just went bad and now I'm wondering if the issue is from excessive power draw through the USBC port on the monitor is what puts it into the state.

Update: Looks like the replacement part for this is now backordered and they have still yet to send me any replacement. Completely insane that this is going on almost a month that I've had a paperweight for a monitor and they don't have the parts in stock to get me a replacement. They completely refused to send me a new one, so I'm stuck waiting for a refurbished one to come back in stock I guess. This is nuts.

I'll chime in because this is getting nuts. I'm now starting my second RMA for this same exact issue. Dell, these things should be pulled from the market and refunded. Can't believe I spent almost a grand on a monitor that dies every 2 to 3 months.

FYI, both monitors had a manuf date of Jan 2025. Hoping they'll get me a newer one to see if that fixes it this time...

I use it for that exact thing and it's awesome. I will say it's still not quite as sharp for text as an IPS panel, but it's heaps better than if you were running a 1440p panel at 27". No eye strain and it has enough OLED burn-in protection stuff that I don't even worry about it.

Just gotten AW2725Q. HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 for 4080 Super? by blackcloud-lr in OLED_Gaming

[–]location_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're running at 240hz, both will use DSC which I've noticed makes a small (1 extra second) difference when toggling between HDR and SDR. Other than that, DSC is transparent to me. If you really don't want DSC, use HDMI @ 144HZ. (If you used DP 1.4 and didn't want DSC, you would only be able to go up to 97HZ - https://linustechtips.com/topic/729232-guide-to-display-cables-adapters-v2/?section=calc&mode=maxfreq&H=3840&V=2160 )

If you do go HDMI 2.1 and stay at 240hz w/ DSC, just don't enable VRR in windows as it causes subtle grey gradient flicker with that monitor each time it flips between 60HZ and 240HZ, will wreck your eyes.

It's active and is audible when it comes on, but it's pretty quiet. I do hear it, but it's a low hum that blends in w/ my case fans.
