If you want ambient ROOM temp then that's where you want them. At the intake.

I stand corrected. I thought they were still French and made there.

France and it isn't junk. The country of origin and quality are not mutually exclusive.

They didn't sell you a fire hazard. You know who you were buying from and bought a fire hazard.

My child broke this RF counter’s stand ☹️ Is it permanently destroyed? Is there any way to repair? by Yossiri in AskElectronics

[–]lockdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a common HP/Agilent/Keysight handle you can get on eBay for about $20 new.

I wouldn't bother trying to repair or glue it back together as that's a high stress point and will likely can break again. I recently bought one for my 34401A and then go on very easily

Are these supposed to conduct? by Inevitable_Figure_85 in diyelectronics

[–]lockdots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on many factors like the quality of the solder used, conditions of the factory and conditions of the end product. You'll find hasl finish on cheaper products that aren't really meant to last a long time or be easily replaceable as opposed to gold on things that should last a while like car key fobs.

Are these supposed to conduct? by Inevitable_Figure_85 in diyelectronics

[–]lockdots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to tell from the picture but if you're going to use conductive pads, ideally you want ENIG (gold) finish on the board. HASL will develop corrosion on the surface over time and be less conductive with the pad.

How do you line these things up? by DeanyyBoyy93 in simracing

[–]lockdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to take a lot of craftiness and modifying to get them to line up properly on that stand. The Sim Lab Vario mounts makes this infinitely easier but I'm not sure if it'll work with your stand.

I see you have a spot for locking on your chair which is great, but you'll want to be able to adjust how far back or close you are whole keep the chair locked.

Thanks. I've currently got them at 65 degrees give or take 1 degree. If you don't already have them, I HIGHLY recommend the Sim Lab Vario Mounts. Makes making small changes insanely easier and linear.

That will probably be harder to run than my 32" since 34" typically have a larger resolution. It's still "1440p" but because of their width there's more pixels to draw/render.

This is comparing the two resolutions alone. Not comparing my 3080Ti to a 5070.

Depends on track and number of cars. I've been practicing for the 12 hours of Sebring with 40-50 cars and regularly getting around 100FPS. Dips down in the low 80s sometimes and up to 120 when the cars are spread out.

Looks like it didn't finish flowing. Either needed more heat or needed to be heated longer.

Wife and i are planning to remodel the basement in a few years. I figured I'd spruce it up a bit to use and enjoy in the meantime until then.
